Well.
This is my attempt to start an online journal, accessible to family and friends. I should be going to full bedrest in about a month, and this will probably be a good outlet for me.
Not sure if that's how you spell jetsom. It will have to work, though, because I like that title.
I'm 12 weeks, 6 days pregnant. Tomorrow I'll be 13 weeks. I'll have to check my book to see how big my baby is. It always says things like, "Your baby is the size of a large lime." First of all, limes come in all sizes. HOW large a lime? A Guatemalan revival lime? Or a little Kroger bad produce lime?
Secondly, maybe it's just the morning sickness. But comparing my baby to food is disgusting! Even when I try to tell R2 there's a baby in my tummy, (I know, Georgia), and he looks a little concerned. How did it get there? Did I EAT a baby?
Yesterday was the opening of the new Apple Store at The Woodlands Mall. We got there 30 minutes after it opened and joined the massive line all the way around the corner. Our efforts paid off as we are now the proud possesors of XL Apple shirts that say The Woodlands. Sometimes I really miss my dad.
Luckily my husband reminds me of him. I sat outside the store for 30-45 minutes and when he finally came out he said "I had to move pretty quick because there were so many people in there!"

I'd like to say in my defense that I never did eat a baby, just in case anyone is wondering.
We went to Leah's shower today for Kai. Everyone looked very nice and the place was this nice french restaurant in the Woodlands. Leah recieved a lot of good presents. In the restroom though they have french lessons going on. I was in a stall when I heard some man say "You are my friend", Just when I was about to reach for my cell phone and call the police, He repeated it in french. I caught on pretty quick, but in the meantime I was thinking of how I was going to convince this man, that he was definitely NOT my friend and what kind of weapons I could find other than toilet paper to hit him over the head with.
Although this was not the worst of my experience there. I hate shower games. For those of you who are men, these games are designed to humiliate and scare women who are totally unaware of what they are getting into. Jack London described the worst fear of man and animals as the fear of the unknown. This is how I feel when someone gets up at a shower and says" Now, we are going to play games" I think of jumping over tables and running for the door. This would be an incredible sight for all 15 women to watch. I feel like at 44 years old I really should be over the jumping tables stage, but what the heck, you only live once.
I think those shower games were more, how can I say it, "UNIQUE", "ENTERTAINING", "REFRESHINGLY DIFFERENT" among other things...
Also, what's the "Apple store"? Am I missing something? I've heard of the Red Apple Sale, but The Woodlands already has a Foley's, so where is this place and why are they giving away free T-Shirts?

Ahhh..... pc users. It's an Apple computer store... as in Mac. As in superior.
You should go and buy one.
Ok, ok, maybe that could have been classified as a "blonde moment" although who's really a blonde these days? Of all people... I should have known. Besides I learned all the cool key commands I know from the Macintosh, aka "Apple", among other things. I won't argue that the MAC may be superior, however, "free" also a beautiful word and that's what my PC/laptop was. In light of that, I must succomb to a lesser instrument and get back to work. :o)
