I am skipping today.... I have probably skipped 3 times in the last
month. The nice thing about today is that Richy and Richy both went. So
I am here alone.
Before anybody freaks, I am on modified bedrest... I can get up to go
to the bathroom and eat. And I promise to not move any furniture. DO
not come over here. I fully intend to read a massive novel from start
to finish without anybody wiping peanut butter on my arm.
I feel fine. I'm on antibiotics, but I have no symptoms anymore, which
is nice. We set up the room yesterday for my upcoming bedrest. (I
directed)
It's so cozy and clean in here. I like it a lot. I'll post a picture
sometime.
Leah's in Oklahoma. 35+ weeks pregnant. If that's not tempting fate I
don't know what is. But if she has an Okie, she'll have him in a
hospital. Not in her oat bran birthing center. So she'll probably try
to hold out.
I'm just saying it's tempting fate. If I was fate, I'd probably zap her
for driving that far.
But knowing Leah and Nate, the baby will stay nicely put till they get
back. Because they plan things. And their plans work. This has always
puzzled me. Regardless, baby Kai is going to be an exciting addition to
the family.
and Val... it's even funnier because they're called CROW's feet.

I came this(squints fingers) close to coming over to see you right after church. Good thing I didnt you might have wiped peanut butter on my arm.
I have to say in Leah and Nate's defense that although the fairy tale continues in great amazement to all of Mercy Christian Fellowship, Boni's, Ad Deum, and their entire family...
Anila has been a great kink in the camelot environ.
Anila makes me laugh, because she does crazy things like screams at the top of her lungs when she doesnt like something, Eats cat food and then tells Luna not to. Smashes River's hands not only once, but twice! The story I heard was that after smashing poor sweet River's hands twice that she snickered! Her Mommy slaps her hands hard for doing things she goes right back to. One day at the pool she bapped some man on the back with a stick.
Don't get me wrong. I loooove my Nini, but she does put a crack in the royal castle.
She reminds me of myself. I was so mean to Bobby. Bobby had to get pretty tough just to live with me.
Sometimes I think of the things I used to do to him and I want to apologize, But he is awfully old to apologize to for stuff I did when I was two. Although when he was 35 he did apologize to me for eating my candy rooster in the back seat of the car when I was three.
P.S.
Jess, You still havent forgiven me for you know what when you were seven
I have the most amazing children and grandchildren and GREAT GRANDCHILD!
Some of this (R2) stuff reminds me of your (Jess) smash a pie in your face jokes which always cracked you up. We have at least one on video. I don't remember Bobby eating the candy rooster but I bet he did it very quietly while yoou(Georgia) were not looking and only left a few chocolate smudges to get him busted. He wasn't fast as you and you would throw him down and pummel him like lightning. But the rooster was eaten and that was his sweet victory . Some things never change. I find a few tell-tale crumbs in the kitchen which let me know that at 44 he is still the midnight rambler. Now C3 kept a log of what foodstuffs were available and would get up early and check to make sure his portion was still there. Needless to say he was often crushed by disppointment. He was very painstaking about his account and took it seriously which made the scene between him and Bobby as (they looked longingly into the refrigerator)so like a skewed Norman Rockwell painting. And the effects of the pronouncement left him scarred, even as erroneous as it may have been, you remember "Well Calvin, there's no food." Trauma wise this runs second only to being mooned by Daddy when he was 10, according to him.
There was eggs, there was cheese...
Even my kids hate the there is eggs, there is cheese...
Actually We both got candies. His was some other kind of animal that noboby got a chance to look at since he gobbled it quickly in one (very swift) swipe. I was looking at mine in the light from the back seat and admiring the really cool colors when he grabbed it out of my little hand and swooped it into his cavernous two year old mouth. ( maybe I need to think about the forgiveness concept in this case). Anyway, this must have been the beginning of me getting lightning fast and learning to throw him down and pummel him.
I didnt quit pummeling him until I realized he was getting too big. Then I sat down with him nicely and explained that we were both way to mature for that sort of thing (at 12 and 14) and that we would not fight anymore. He agreed wholeheartedly since he was tired of being pummeled. I never told him my real motivation for that heart to heart. I think he still thinks wallop him.
I meant I can wallop him
I would put high on Calvin's scale being serial-mooned by dad AND bobby when he was 20-something. I was there. Although I had my head buried in the couch.
And, I am the one who usually gets pb wiped on my arm. By a very loving son who has finished his sandwich and just wants a big hug.
It was not a threat as it must have sounded.
I like that- The Oat Bran Birthing Center- We could have starved to death trying to find something to eat there.
R2 just summed it up for us all when we were there. He kicked his feet and screamed at the top of his lungs
CRACKERRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!
Even my skinny little brother who never eats looked hungry.
