29 weeks! Toby GANZA Hallelujah BLANZA!

29 weeks

  • Your baby's head is in proportion with body now. He appears more like a newborn each and every day!
  • Fat continues to accumulate under the skin -- only now preparing for entering the *real world*.
  • Your baby's brain can control primitive breathing and body temperatures.
  • His eyes can move in their sockets. Soon he will be able to follow a blinking light.
  • Your baby is increasingly sensitive to changes in light, sound, taste, and smell! Various studies show that your baby may indicate preferences (or disdain) for particular tastes or odors at this stage
  • He is also moving from side to side, but probably still is head up. In the next few weeks, he will move to the head down birthing position. At times you may feel as if he is performing somersaults for a circus act!
  • His length is now approximately 15.2 inches (38.6cm) and weight is 2.54 pounds (1153gm)

Conflicting reports on this light- following thing... it seems like he was able to do that a couple weeks ago. Not that I tried it. But basically from here on out he gets stronger and fatter.... the developmental reports don't change a whole lot.

What the heck, huh? This is amazing!

Crystal is still going strong, you few bloggers who voted for the weekend. Although I did see her run at CTK yesterday...

    Hi yall

    Georgia said...

I saw the new Johnny Cash movie.

    BethC said...

    Hi G
Chris and Bobby went with their Dad to see The JC movie too
Bobby just flew to the V islands today
    and Chris did sumthin amazin...

    Georgia said...

    What did Chris do?

    Georgia said...

    Ok, let me guess, amazing things Chris could do;

    Cut his hair
    Wear nothing on his fingers
    Join a sports team
Confess his love for the GOP
Sit all day listening to Kevin Prosch

    Any of those yet?

    BethC said...

Bobby introduced Chris to one of his teachers from CHS, and he had some kinda lecture/talk with him...and Chris asked Bobby to take him to get a hair cut (real short, miitary style)...they looked like twins...kinda.
    i couldn't believe it...i was stunned...

    BethC said...

great guesses...wonder what's next...could be any of the above

    Georgia said...

    I dont believe it!

    I am actually speechless1

    Oh my Gosh!

I could go on and on!

    Young Republicans look out!

    Georgia said...

So is he regretting it now?

    Georgia said...

That's an amazing feat for Chris. I bet BJ is going to hate it though.

    Georgia said...

I wonder what made him decide to do that. He told me yesterday he wanted to join the marines when he turns 18.
I wonder if he is getting real serious about that.
Man, what kind of teacher was this?
Just goes to show you that teachers can have an impact.

Im still amazed, I could keep saying that... Man!

    BethC said...

    exactly...stunned...speechless...
he's very confident with his decision...
the Teacher was an Auto Tech teacher that Bobby stays in touch with...we want to bulid a shrine to him or sumthin like that...

    Georgia said...

I told my kids. They were astounded too.

    BethC said...

    but really,
    i liked his hair..
it's just the attitude change we desire/welcome

    Georgia said...

    That is so cool!
I dont blame yall for wanting to build him a shrine or sumthin.

    Georgia said...

That is how it always goes. The hair looks really great, but the man changes with the hair and the changes usually suck.

    Georgia said...

Most of the time the bad attitude is cut out with the haircut. So yaaaa! for Chris!

    Georgia said...

Tell him I said that took real courage to do that and I am very proud of him.

    BethC said...

still our babies...that proverbial lump in my throat returned as Bobby left for his flight, and Chris made his manly step...big day

    Still our babies...

    Georgia said...

You can tell that I am one of the few people with broadband. My posts are sometimes seconds apart and then I wait for responses.
Either that or some people actually are working today.

    BethC said...

G-I'm remindad of that poem you wrote so often...especially in times like these...
Maybe you could send him a card, or call him...

    Georgia said...

Yeah, that lump in the throat never leaves. I mean it goes away, but when they leave again it comes back over and over, you would think we would adapt, but no, forever our babies, like you said, Take note younger mommies, even when they get older it still hurts when they leave.

    Georgia said...

I would send him a card. I gave him a hug yesterday and told him I was glad he was there. Give me an address and I will send him something. What about cookies or something?

That poem is so sad and true wasnt it?

    Crystal,
I'm sure you feel that for Jacob, Derrick, and the other children/teens in your life...

    BethC said...

jess has been there too....such maternal instincts even with youth group

    Georgia said...

    Come on Terri, and Eva
I know you have something to say about this.

    Georgia said...

I just reread that poem. I cried again.

    Georgia said...

JD, that is really tough about your brother.

    BethC said...

you guys should read a copy of G's poem...very touching...

I've had many adults in my life that had a impact on me as a teen.
    Some I will never forget....

    Georgia said...

Would yall like to read the poem?

    Georgia said...

That is exactly what I am talking about Julie. No matter how many times you do it, it still hurts.

    BethC said...

Sharon Davis prayed for me all through college...she always helped me stay encouraged....it took me 10 years, but hey....

    Georgia said...

    Here is the poem;

    Officer

    Can you help me?

I seem to have lost my children
They were so young and beautiful and now they
    are lost

    I have three beautiful daughters

One with pony tails and ribbons who can’t spend the night anywhere without her big pink bear Bobo. She can read even though she’s not in school yet.

One who has wavy brown hair and a lisp, who can’t say her name right so she calls herself Hedo. She is very friendly and likes to sit in people’s laps

One who likes jumping on pogo sticks and is known for the best slumber parties in town. She can charm even the hardest hearts.

I have a son too, he’s skinny and funny and bounces over all the furniture and talks so much that we have to ask him to be quiet for a minute.

    They’re gone
What am I going to do?

Can you help me find them?
I hope they are not in danger,
They are so little and need me
    so badly

You see we were here in the grocery store and they were playing near me as usual and I looked away for a second and when I looked back they were gone, all of them

    Can you help me?

    Can you help Beth?
    She is also sad

    She can’t find her sons
and she doesn’t want to live without them

    She had three sons
Hers were lost in the same time

One has a cowboy hat and red boots, he won’t take the boots off even to go to bed

One wears toy swords, guns and knives everywhere he goes, even to church in case some imaginary bad guys come to church.

One has blond hair that sticks straight up and loves to play baseball

They were sitting on the bleachers at a baseball game, she went to get some popcorn and when she came back the field was empty and they were gone.

No toys were left, no cowboy hats, nothing to tell her where they could have gone.

    Her heart is broken
She doesn’t know how to get them back

    Can you help her?

    Now, ladies,
I found a few clues in this case
I fear it’s for the worst
This has been a case of foul play

The clues lay out the story
About who has taken your children
    And where they are today

I found near where your daughters were last seen,

A diploma, cap and gown, A writer born to uncover the lies of powerful men
A woman who can hear from God and The last remains of a heart for the nations,
And a powerful leader of peoples. Who will shake the world with her insight and ability to mold opinions

The fingerprints where your son was
    Show a military uniform
    With an integrity unheard of
    And orator unrivaled

    I looked where Beth was
    And the evidence was undaunting

There lies a 6 foot man with a heart like gold and
an imagination that can change the course of a nation bent on degradation

In the Dna here we found

A man built like a bull with determination and will to push the strongest of fortresses aside, carrying a loving and gentle heart.

And the last of all in this sad investigation we uncovered

A married man with a heart for God carrying the love and forgiveness that only He can give to a man

    I’m terribly sorry,
But our worst fears have been revealed in the investigation

    They have been stolen
    They have been kidnapped
    They ran into foul play

    Time has stolen your children

    Georgia said...

You have the additional fear that something tragic could happen to him also, I know that must be hard to live with. I fear that sometimes too, but I am sure it is not in the way you do.

    Georgia said...

Ok, Georgia, just make EVERYBODY cry,

    Georgia said...

Leave it to the military to continue the illegal operations when all else fails. I know about that Mike was in the army in Germany and we had many illegal things going on, but in your case it is a good thing.

    Georgia said...

Anyway, the Johnny Cash movie was ok.
I really didnt think Joaquin did that good of an imitation of Johnny, but I was impressed with Reese Witherspoon, I didnt know she was going to be able to pull June Carter off so well.

    Georgia said...

Well must find some food that is healthy and good to eat.
    Talk to yall later.

    Georgia said...

Man, I am surprised that you arent a fat lady Jennifer, you eat really great.

i read that metro areas are trying to get their own w-fi access so the current companies would lose all that revenue.

    Georgia said...

Aha! an ebay wedding! I was wondering how I was going to marry off all of these daughters for real cheap.
    Thanks
    Katie

    Georgia said...

I told Layla that when she got married we were going to use Taco Cabana ( guests pay for their own food) and buy her dress at wieners and return it after the wedding and ask Richy to do the ceremony.

This may be a part of the reason she has not gotten married yet.

    BethC said...

    JD,

    BethC said...

actually, my Dad agreed to have his wife use budgetfunerals at his death

    Josh said...

Good Monday to you all. Just letting you know I probably won’t be in much this week. The deal that happened here at Boeing on Friday is causing our group to shift around work and take on extra load. I’m doing mine and like two other peoples work, so I’ll be working extra. It’s just temporary and just what we have to do.

    Blessings!!!

    Georgia said...

My guess is it didnt matter much to him after that.

    Georgia said...

    Too bad, Josh.
    We like your input.
Someone had a political remark for you awhile ago.

    BethC said...

it was all for the family...nobody complained

    Georgia said...

Do yall know where Mama is?

    BethC said...

    shopping, praying or sewing

    Josh said...

If you missed what I said happened on Friday, here is an article from the Seattle Times.

Thanks Georgia, glad I’ll be missed. I’ll see if I can find the comment later.

    Peace to the Peoples!

    BethC said...

josh, do the boeing employees know which one's were affected?
    were you?

    Georgia said...

Michael said to tell you Jess, to stick to the issues. This isnt about ham.

    Georgia said...

Hey, how did you get that cool animated picture? Did you just copy that like normal? Where did you find those?

    Georgia said...

will be back later, must do school work.

    Josh said...

The person that the laptop was stolen from knew what reports were on it, so they replicated the reports to know who was impacted. All current employees got an e-mail on Friday and former employees and retirees are getting letters. The e-mails and letters just tell them they are impacted and to call TotalAccess, which is basically the benefits line to find out what data it was for them. They then call TotalAccess and verify who they are and are told what data it was.

Since I’m contract, I’m not on Boeing’s payroll and was not impacted. One lady in my group was herself and another one AND her husband both were impacted (both work of Boeing).

    Josh said...

Gotta get back working, if the political / economic question can be summarized again so I don’t have to read a lot, maybe I can reply in a moment.

    Georgia said...

    French vanilla?

    BethC said...

the semi-political/economic reference had to do with metro areas developing their own wi-fi system to by-pass having to pay another provider and these companies are throwing a big fit...do you know the status/timeframe...it seems that if it is successful, we can all benefit for personal use...

    BethC said...

why is jess back on dial-up? didn't they have broadband before?

    BethC said...

am i the only one who has always wondered why the newest post doesn't go to the top? instead of bottom...

    BethC said...

scroll...man i wizzz by, and if i have time, i read back

    BethC said...

ah but you misinterpret my post...i actually skim-read all posts to know which ones i can join in on

    BethC said...

some i have to read in more detail to get the conversation; others easy to get it with one or two key words

    BethC said...

i guess it goes along with my lack of general interest in novels...occasionally find one i like and i read it slowly...
    expository
(text books, informational) reading generally goes faster
    JD
i think it goes back to the other conversation we had; i was very intrigued by your comment about thinking fast, but emaotionally slower...i can relate to that
