Podcast Moving!

I am hijacking Jess's blog to make an important announcement... My devotional worship podcast has been picked up by a publishing company and starting Monday will be played from www.godsipod.com . This is important to you who've been joining me in worship because what you already have set up WILL NO LONGER WORK! YOU WILL NEED TO RE-SUBSCRIBE.
So if you'd like to get a jump start TODAY copy this line and paste it into your browser...

http://www.godsipod.com/podcasts/radiant_worship_podcast.html

I hope you've been enjoying them. Even if you can't listen to the podcast that day just "updating" your itunes helps with the podcast stats and can place it on the top at itunes.com Unfortunately for the next 2 weeks there will be some repeats with new ones mixed in... this is because this audience (of around 4500 people ) have not heard any of the podcasts yet... So please stick with it... they are getting more powerful and more anointed as I am getting more comfortable with recording myself. Blessings... Richy

a story for my friends, and a plea for encouragement and/or prayer.
Tonight was hard, really really really hard for me. It took a long time to break through, and while I hear everyone else going into God so well, I can't seem to get even a whiff. Eventually it comes, and it's good! But after about 5-ish minutes, it's gone. THEN it gets bad. My mind goes numb, my spirit feels dead, and I don't seem to know what to do. I want to press in and dance and worship, but not in vain! My spirit wasn't in it, my heart wasn't in it at all. I was totally going, then all of a sudden it was GONE!

It happened when the South Africa team went up for prayer, I was praying and such, then it lifted, suddenly and totally. I started thinking about why, and why it had gone, and I couldn't think of anything. Except one thing, which I'd rather the whole world not know about(this is the world wide web). It's nothing big, no grossness or anything, not that I know of anyway.

But as I stood in dumbness watching everyone else dance and praise and have the time of their lives, I thought about different things. I felt VERY lonely, and VERY VERY unsure about everything. I didn't know what to do, so I sat down and started thinking and writing. This is what I came up with...

Why do I not hunger for God?

Why when everyone else seems to be in the presence of God do I drop out involuntarily?

Why don't I feel happy in the presence of God?

Why can't(haven't I) I recieve the baptism of hte HOly Spirit?

Why is it so hard?

Why do I feel left out? Lonely? Passed Over?

Why won't this feeling go away? Why does it stay?

Why don't I seem to care right now(my spirit cared, my heart cared, but the rest of me was very apathetic)?

My answer: I don't know.

thats my deal...

feelings of aloness happen often; it seems unity is by faith at times.
keeps me dependent and desperate for God's Presence.

maybe my experience is due to my temperment(personality)
and I stand in the back so I can see others or close my eyes as needed without feeling others are watching me.

WE MADE IT HOME....

on a sadder note,

our LUGGAGE did not!!!

so, wonder what we'll wear tomorrow? all of our clothes are in those two suitcases! hmmm...

Had a great visit with Josh and Shannon and little Keith Arden. Cute baby they produced!

When we got home, the house was clean and the girls had decorated the kitchen counter with a beautiful flower arrangement and an enlarged photo of our wedding day, placed in a silver frame. Little silver confetti was strewn all out on a beautiful cloth.

J and Hannah had mowed and weed ett the whole yard. And they stayed up with us to hear all our stories and view all my 199 pics that I was able to download quite speedily...

Missed you all. Will catch up on blog later... See you at church tomorrow....

Are you talking about all the times we used to play yahtzee for hours?

No one plays games with me anymore. My yahtzee days are over.
It is okay though, yahtzee reminds me of the old trailer I used to live in in cut n shoot. I would rather forget that sometimes.

Life is much better now.

God is good.
On the subject of Naytron's isolation, sometimes when I feel that way it helps me to remind myself that the whole deal is between me and God anyway. That there are really no other people involved, my life comes down to me and God. That helps me to relax and just concentrate on him and not the people around me. The people can be a distraction from God, because we start to think about them and we lose it. That used to happen to me. Like Kat says it helps to sit up front. You cant see what is going on with everybody else.

I really dont mean to give sappy advice, sorry if that is not where you are at and it sounds sappy.

Beth said...

i sit up front for that same reason.
i don't want to be distracted by what's happening with everyone else (or that all these people keep going to the bathroom); i want to be totally focused.

the view from the sound booth is very interesting and cool to watch. 8)

Good Weekend all,

Naytron- I think what everyone else said is good, especially Georgia. It’s really between you and God. Thinking why others are doing something you can’t is a distraction from the real issue of you seeking God, to glorify Him and know Him in your own life. I’ve had to actively resist the temptation to compare my spiritual experiences, or lack of, to others several times. It just doesn’t matter what others are experiencing, don’t try to just get what others are getting, God may be wanting to speak to you or do something in you at any moment that is between you and Him, and different from what everyone else is experiencing at the moment. Just ask Him what He wants to do in you or say to you, because it’s only about you and Him.

Yes, we had a great time with MPC and PJC up here in Seattle. We hung out for about 5 hour (6 – 11 PM). We came to there B&B, which had an AWESOME view of the Puget Sound bay, islands, and mountains. We really enjoyed talking with them and Keith really liked them too. It was cute seeing them hold Keith. It had been many years since PJC held a baby that little. They were all smiles. PJC and I were out on the deck and I was scrolling through pics on our digital, showing him, and he was just laughing and smiling at Keith’s cuteness, he was kind of giddy. It was neat.

We ate at Denny’s which, if you’ve been reading MPC’s blog, you know is where her and PJC would always sit and eat and sip sodas and talk when they were dating. They were looking at the menus going, “Remember, I would always get the ****, and you would get the ****,. . . hee hee hee.” (I don’t remember what it was). When PJC ordered, he got what he used to get 25 years ago when they dated, and MPC said, with and big smile and all excited, “OH, you’re going to get!!.” They were really cute.

Now we have Jere and Mere coming June 12 – 15. It will be very good to see them! We plan to take them to the Seattle Flight Museum, do some local site seeing, and go to a yummy sea food restaurant, with plenty just sitting and talking.

Mama PC said...

We have some awesome pics of little Keith. Somehow I'll have to send them to you, JP... any hints on how to get them to you easy?

we enjoyed our visit.... glad you could come over to our little piece of heaven while we were in Seattle....

ok - laundry calls (or buzzes...)

Josh said...

Do you have Windows XP on your PC?

Josh said...

Oh wait, you have a Gmail address, so you don't use Outlook for email.

Once the pics are on you PC, you go to Gmail and write me an email and attach the pics. You should have a paper clip looking icon in Gmail to attach a file. Ask your kidos for help, if you need it.

Josh said...

I'll send you the group pic we took also.

Mama PC said...

ok - maybe since we have dsl the gmail attachements will work now. a while back, gmail couldn't transfer pic attachemnets through the slow access we hicks had to use...

but now........... D S L

"dangerously slick lines..."

isn't that what dsl stands for?

let me see what i can do...

I hate that I could not come to your party mamapc. I was having lunch with the Terry's at Jalisco and then we had to hurry and get my son back for work and pick up the other working kids. I was really hoping it could be arranged, but not this time. My brother does a great Russian dance. It is really great cause he is about 300 pds and it makes the downstairs neighbors real nervous, what a talented guy. I will bring him next time for entertainment. We will have to remind him to wear stretchy pants, ( rumor is his dancing can get a little loose)

Mama PC said...

well, i should be in bed, but dryer is running schedule right now

john and han are discussing guitar chords behind me while he folds clothes. she's starting to give guitar lessons on monday late afternoons. anyone interested? at our house... John's the music theory King of Montgomery County...and I dare say the whole state of Texas!

he received a miracle healing in his back tonight after men's group...

gerogia - you're on... sounds like an interesting kick off to our party... dance by 300 lb man in tight pants.... who will shake a hole in the floor...

I really wish I could come to the guitar lessons...I've semi-plateaued as far as what I can teach myself. I'VE NEVER HAD LESSONS! Theory is somewhat foggy to me

Nate said...

but I have discipleship on mondays...big commitment, can't/won't break it

Sorry Richy! Couldn't make it to the meeting tonight. We were seeing off a fella from the youth group, Justin Rushmore. He just got saved about three weeks to a month ago. He's going to his secondary training in the Army, we won't see him for like 10 weeks. We prayed for him and encouraged him and stuff. Gave him all the foundations books and a couple other things. He doesn't know anyone there, and doesn't know if he'll find real spirit filled believers there. So, I'll definatly be there tuesday!
