Star date 78340

It's 10:23pm Thursday, Jess is looking good. She has had very few contractions in the last few hours. And is in good spirits! We are very hopeful about the shower saturday.
I however had a hard time. I locked R2 in the car at McDonalds, with the car running. The humorous part was that I could not get him to open the lock, many strangers came by with a fresh additude of convincing him that he could open the lock. (as people have always been, in dealing with his special needs) I also locked my cell phone in the car, which has roadside assitance. As you know, it is freezing out side, and I was not dressed for it. (flip flops and swim shorts,.... not really, I would just would have prefered a few more layers of clothing) I had to ask someone to borrow their cell phone. After about 15 min I was able to get a hold of Jessica who sent her mom, and a lock smith toward me. After about 30 min, I figured they must have the wrong McDonalds. I strongly convinced a McDonalds employee that I needed to use HIS cell phone, and not the pay phone which was on the other side of the store, because my kid was locked the car without the heat on, (I turned out to be a good temperature inside the car..in case you're worried) I then called Linda, and sure enough they were at the wrong McDonalds! About this time, all my stranger "helper" people left, knowing I was going to get help. I then knelt on the pavement facing r2, it was then that he starting crying very sad. I hated not being able to do anything for him. Finally, Linda, and then the locksmith guy showed up, and got the car open. It was not cold at all inside the car. And R2 was feeling better, and laughing when I showed him how to open the lock. (He did it twice on his own, once I was in the car) When I got to the hospital here, I suddenly felt a huge emotional weight. (Girls will like this conversation) I've had to cry, and had to write about it. I didn't think it was a big deal, besides the fact that I have no meat between my skin and bones, so I got very very cold. But it was really all the feelings of being unable to help r2 through all of his struggles. Seeing my twins struggle and not able to help them, and now in this scenerio with Tobias. Ultimatley I understand we cannot claim control over anything, for "By Him all things are held together, and by Him all things consist:" However, sometimes I find my self wanting so bad to protect my children. May our hope remain in the Lord who holds all things together. Thank you all for your prayers and love. We all need people.

Richy

Thanks so much everyone. Encouraging thoughts. Jess is still doing good. Next to NO contractions, Hallalujah. We are both starting to realize that Tobias is real. (to he who has understanding, let him understand) Thank you for your prayers today. And for Wynter and Fam, may God's shining light pierce through the darkness in their hearts and minds. May they know the joy of a pure conscience. Blessings all,

Richy

I have read it. Just wondering how they are doing right now. I am glad that they are doing well. I will continue to pray for them. What Satan does for evil, God turns to good. I am not worried, I know that Satan is trying to render them hopeless, and it is not going to work!!!!! :)

Richy- I read what you wrote this morning before getting ready for work and was almost in tears just thinking about the since of hopelessness you had to feel, just having compassion for you two. Love you both and I’m very happy that Jessica is doing as good as she is. . . only better from here!

Loads of blessings,
Josh

I also thought the way you wrote was very encouraging and thought provoking (everything is up to Him).

Wow! Yes, this same thing did happen to Mama and R2. I think it was the last time Jess was in the hospital with Toby. It has to be symbolic.
You are right, Richy, we loved the crying part. I cried too, of course that always happens to me.

Hi, Terri

I was going to go to a water aerobics class this morning. Decided against it at the last minute. BRrrr!

Georgia said...

So what is the latest on the shower? Jess will you be able to come?

Georgia said...

Jd, what did she last say about coming to the shower?

Josh said...

She said that someone better pre-heat the water for her.

Josh said...

A hardy har har!

Georgia said...

The pool is indoor and heated. It is a ten foot diving pool, but the thought of going there and getting wet and coming out in this weather sent me back to the covers in a flash.

Georgia said...

I would have been fine. I just couldnt talk myself into the 30 minute trip.

Georgia said...

I takes 30 minutes to get anywhere from Atascocita. The traffic is sooo bad. That is because everybody loves it here. Like me.

Josh said...

Wimps!

Georgia said...

Water aerobics is much more exercise than I expected. I really like it.

Georgia said...

Oh, yeah, let me see if the Skinny Man club is willing to go in 30 degree weather and get in a pool.

Georgia said...

Notice Josh talks real big when he is about to run away to lunch.

Georgia said...

I think he may be hiding under that turtle shell.

Georgia said...

Rob, you cant be in the skinny man club anymore, not after that close up.
I think you have been disbarred.

Josh said...

No lunch at work for me today. It is 10:00 here and I’m leaving at noon. I have my big exam tomorrow, so studying at least 5 hours this afternoon.

I could take that water on, even if it wasn’t heated!!

You’re just jealous of my beautiful turtle shell, aren’t you?

Thanks Josh for the prayers..
they are looking at moving Jessica to a less serious room upstairs. So that's good. We've got no offical word on Saturday, except that if she stays as is, they will most likely give her a day pass out of the hospital. Of course, we could alway do a jail break. But we want to keep the doctors on our side. Blessings - Richy 12:15 PM

The swimming trip Julie tells of was also after hours at night, so it was nice and cold. We did get reported and a nice copper came to tell us to get out, actually he was pretty mean, but we were breaking the rules. Daniel and I had a nice note from the office on our door the next day “reminding” us of the pools hours.

Everyone knows, but it’s for a Human Resources certification exam that will be good for me career wise to have. It’s a 225 question test over almost 1,500 pages of material that should take me up to 4 hours to complete. It a lot of law, regulations, court cases, and the correct way to advice or handle in a HR or employee related situation.

I’ve been studying for 6 months. I’ve kept track of my study time and, if I do 5 hours today, it will be exactly 99 hours of studying, prep, and time on practice exams on the CD ROM that came with the books.

Josh said...

I agree, Julie.

Georgia said...

Ok, so the skinny man club can swim. Even in the cold, but can they swim at 7 in the morning in the cold?

Josh said...

Seeing as how I go to work at 7:00 in the cold everyday, and the real cold when we lived in Illinois (single digits, brrr), I’d say yes. I’m ready for whatever by 7:00 AM everyday. . . bring on the ice cubes!

Richy,

I remember back in August, I had a swarm of bees follow me from Wal-Mart to HEB. Unkown to me, a few bees were in my car also. As we were driving down the road Abigail got stung by a bee on the back of her leg near her bottom. She was sitting in her car seat as were the other two and I was driving the car. I remember the feeling of not being able to protect my children from the bees. I felt absolutely helpless. As soon as we got to HEB, Abigail began asking for her daddy and Steve was able to get their within minutes to take the kids home. For a couple weeks, it seemed that everywhere we went, we found bees. I had to realize that only God could protect them. I recognized it as the enempy trying to put fear in me and instead of becoming weaker, I believe it made me stronger. What a testimony you will have to be able to share with Toby later.

On a Battle for the Soul trip in Monterey, Mexico I had to take freezing cold showers, early in the morning, for days. It was just this metal pipe sticking out of a wall, no shower head, no warm water, no frills.

Unfortunately, Terri, I have had no updates, but I assume that in that case no news is good news.

Ok, Josh you win the polar bear award.

I can imagine that trip with Radiant when no one showered for 3 days was something to remember.

Georgia said...

What are you scared of us, Daniel?

Georgia said...

I mean, if this is an age related comment there I think I just might take you on.

Georgia said...

No, really I dont have time either, I have a final that is screaming at me, but I relish the challenge and wonder why you seem to think that we should take each other on, as if you were not a worthy adversary, i.e, we would be blog-handicapped because of our age.

Georgia said...

Well, good, that makes me feel better. We will take it on another day then.

Georgia said...

That was good. I will take you on later Wallace.

If you're still there Katwomen, you have got me guessing who you are. I just learned how to blog yesterday and don't know everything on how to do it. Sorry
