You know, that Lazarus day was a turning point. I was telling Lindsey
last night... that day it was almost a mental decision- I will put
aside my grieving and move into the joy of the Lord. Yeah, okay, I
will do that. Not a hugely emotional striving thing.
But everything has changed.
This week, I remembered that I like candles. I just forgot for years.
I like to listen to music. I like to cook.
All things that have been dormant.
I like teaching.... especially when people are listening.
Oh yeah, me! Now I remember.
and Richy is back and very very skinny.... 6 days to go before he can
eat! And 7 DAYS TILL THE FIRST RADREV SERVICE! WOOOOHOOOO!

HELLO EVERYONE FROM VICTORIA - VANCOUVER ISLAND - BRITISH COLUMBIA - CANADA!!
IT'S OUR ANNIVERSARY AND I'M CELEBRATING!!!
PAPA JC says hello
we're off to have a Japanese meal...
more another time.....
congrats on 25 years
I have enjoyed your storyblog
clam, I appreciated your testimonyblog too
overcome.....by word of my testimony...
is that like more than conquerors
well, i've got tons of stories to tell already.
we LOVED Vancouver... yep, West Coast is great!
still trying to figure out Victoria... but, at our first glances, we think we like Vancouver better. Victoria seems a bit too "tourist trap" for us. Breakfast in our resort hotel is $13 for the CONTINENTAL and $18.50 for BUFFET!!! Riiiiipppp... so, since we're hoofing it here, we'll probably try to find something down town....
We are TOTALLY getting our exercise. Walking everywhere! We did buy a trolley car ticket on Monday, to make our way to the otherside of Vancouver...there was a historical dramatic production we wanted to see... anyway, by the time we saw that, then went and leisurely enjoyed lunch and souvenir shopped, we ended up MISSING THE TROLLEY back to "our" side of town! So, we had to walk up hills and down hills for approx 3 MILES!!!
Papa jc has shin splints.
Thankfully my legs are used to a lot of miles...
more stories.... you know... i make everything into a story of some sort... makes life more fun and entertaining to myself AND to you!
We'll be here til Thurs a.m.... the Clipper Ship we'll travel on back to Seattle is only a block from here... so, we don't have to get up TOO early Thurs. Josh and Shannon, we'll see you Thurs afternoon sometime. I'll call you from rental car place.
miss you all...
oh, it hasn't rained much at all. Mon was beautiful and today has been even better!
I'm in a closet at the Laurel Point Inn on Victoria Island. It says Business Center . I laughed. No one comes up here at all. Weird. There's this pc and a printer.... a phone. 24 hour access to guests....
Me and papa jc might "fast" tomorrow\s breakfast... NOT... we have a pkg of crackers in the suitcase...
Oh, we had a blast in Vancouver, trying to find the cheapest meals... there was a hole in the wall restaurant right across from our hotel (by the way, we were on the TWENTY-SECOND floor) and we ate there twice and had eggs/bacon/toast for $3.75 a piece! There were other cheap but good restaurants on that same avenue. This is NOT a tourist trap, but a retirement and singles community. Very interesting cultural experience. Single college-aged and older folks just meandering and wandering. Old men sitting out by the beach...and if we just barely did the "Texas Hi" they would open up and start talking our arms off. It was so sad. Fascinating. High rise apartment buildings and little businesses with houses on top. Very fascinating experience and one I'd like to repeat. There were people walking dogs ALL OVER that community. You'd just have to see it. Dogs walking AS IF they were on leashes, but NO LEASHES... and the people were out walking them.... i saw only one cat...inside a house - looking out a window.
We're scheduled wednesday to go see Butchart Gardens and will be picked up at 10:30 a.m. for a 3 hour tour...\
a 3 hour tour....
Ok... I've blabbed enough.
Oh, hi diamond.... hi Pat....glad to see you all are still "with" us.
Jess, you are loved....
Oh, I have stories of what my sister has thrown out the car window in a fit of anger... I'll tell you all later....
Love you.
Blessings....
the sun is still UP over here... i just noticed that my blog poasted at 10:50-something... it's only 8:50 here...
the sun doesn't go down til almost TEN P.M.!!! makes the days long!
just heard from home that J has a high temp - sick sick stomach... missed work Tues... linds up all night with him.... cleaning up the big mess that spewed all over his room at midnight last night... erg... the 3 of them were up most of the night....
then, linds got to work and someone had stolen over $400 that she is responsible for - petty cash or something.... and she hadn't locked it up properly.... plus other things...
pray for my chittlins that things will go better and that they will be healed...
The LORD is our healer and provider...
Ok - i will not worry nor fret...
love and hugs, again...
going to slepe now...
Awesome MPC, sounds like you’re having a great time. Yes, the weather here today was gorgeous!! It was perfectly clear and we could see the snow capped Cascades from our front porch. We went for a nice long walk after work, Keith slept in the stroller the whole time.
Glad you and PJC are having a great time. We’re looking forward to seeing you Thursday evening!!
