Yep, blog went down Friday afternoon, and is just now back up for us too.

hey, do you all remember the doctor from *!&# ???
well, i no longer have to do duty with him or any of his cohorts...
when i changed positions, they took me off of the "call list" for endo...
but, now I'm on another "call list" for the PACU (aka Post Anesthesia Care Unit)...
so, I may have more hours on call, but none are as critical...
so... I'm stretching again...

Does anyone know WHY Jehovah's Witnesses won't receive blood transfusions? I've never studied that, but it's just a curious thing... Even if they will die, they will not take a blood transfusion. Totally against their religion. Just wondering if anyone knows their rational.

Had another patient - a lady - last name "B" who has terrible kidney stones... having surgery tomorrow... Pray for her... cute little Miss "B"...
And there is a little man who's heart is irregular and needs a cardioversion tomorrow to SHOCK his heart to a stop, then back into a regular rhythm. If the ekg shows tomorrow that the rhythm is ALREADY regular, then they won't have to do the SHOCK. Last name "R"... "Mr. R"
And that was only a few of the 12 I saw and helped today.
For those of you know know Fran at my job, she's going to attend the ladies conference Fri/Sat with me and Sharon. Yahoo!

second night, we were in Cloudcroft - where the Clouds Nest...
drizzly cool weather...
john and the kids played guitars and sang for hours in the living room of the rustic cabin. we enjoyed just being together...
visited with old friends the next night...
next day gave surprise party to john's baby sis, who turned 50!
next day, went to our old church in hobbs, where john had been worship leader for 7 years - J was born there... john led worship with his sister... hannah backed up on guitar and j played drums... it's good to go back every now and then to reconnect with our old peeps... me and linds sat with the rest of the family and were blessed.
anyway, this was prob our last vacation trip with just our own original 5 John Crouse Family peeps... next trip will prob include an in-law... or perhaps two???

VKG- you can't save Richy's messages to your computer from the website. It's only set up to "stream" (listen to from site), it isn't set up to download to your computer. You'll have to get the audio file from Richy.
I think you're right, R2 probably started talking about his horsey and the internet guy turned in for the day to listen.

re: jehovah's witnesses and blood transfusions......as i understand it has to do with the application of the old testament scriptures that prohibit consumption of blood. i think they are willing to die or to allow loved ones to die because they believe that they will inherit eternal life if they don't take the blood.
