Tersday

Talked to Richy this morning... they are with the Cause... at the old Heritage USA. Rick Joyner has bought the property and restored a lot of it...
But Richy went for a walk last night and just looked at some of the ruins. Amazing. The hotel is going to cost 5 million to restore. Man. I wonder what it all looked like back then.
Just had to be food for thought, Christian ruins.

Today they drive to Virginia Beach. I wish I had gone for this part. I would have loved to hang with the Cause peeps and the Virginia peeps... my friends. But you know, it's ok. I'm going to Target. So that's pretty fun.

I saw this quote in March, just a month before having Keith, & I liked it.. I had forgotten about it & just saw it again, thought some of you would like it too..

Here is a sweet, fragrant mouth to kiss; here are two more feet to make music with their pattering about my nursery. Here is a soul to train for God; and the body in which it dwells is worthy all it will cost, since it is the abode of a kingly tenant. I may see less of friends, but I have gained one dearer than them all, to whom, while I minister in God's name, I will make a willing sacrifice of what little leisure for my own recreation my other darlings had left me. Yes, my precious baby, you are welcome to your mother's heart, welcome to her time, her strength, her health, her tenderest cares, her life-long prayers! Oh, how rich I am, how truly, how wondrously blest! -by Elisabeth Prentiss

I found some sites showing pics & announcing that Rick Joyner was purchasing Heritage.. yet couldn't find anything on how much has been done so far.. he bought it 2 years ago, Sept. 2004.. anyone know where to read anything on the progress?

ya, but I don't enjoy meat that much anymore...I used to like it alot...I suppose I haven't had any good meat in a while...but I dig me some salad!

Nate said...

oh my gosh...this is ridiculous! The blargh can't be dying off! C'mon!!!

Nate said...

I don't really like meat that much anymore...

a good salad beats a burger anyday....

and I'd probably eat meat sometimes...

I want to eat healthier...alot healthier.

I know you've gotta maintain protien and all that stuff...vitamins and all that good stuff...

anything particularly hard about being a vegetarian?

Nate said...

now being a vegan i couldn't handle...I do NOT like tofu...ugh. Nasty...well, not really nasty, just completely devoid of taste

Nate said...

bennigans has those boca burgers...'em are good!

but I dig salad...bigtime

just veggies in general...fruits...any kind.

Nate said...

I've only had it in oriental dishes...and i disliked it...bigtime.

It's made from soy right? Briana introduced me to soy stuff, soy milk, soy ice cream. It's pretty good

Nate said...

which kroger?

there's a health food section?

shows you how healthy I eat...

eek!

I might have to get the hernandi and han to help me eat better! Once I get out on my own that is

Nate said...

today I ate a steak, and I had some hot tea, and then I had some ground steak patties...and uh...well, thats about it

I'm a heart attack waiting to happen.

I decided today, that I odn't like meat that much anymore!

Nate said...

so if I become a vegetarian, could I still do meat/sweet fasts?

:D

Nate said...

I"m gonna have to find something around here to eat then! Theres GOTTA be some veggies here somewhere

does your sister and brotherinlaw cook there? or are the like most other young couples these days who don't really cook...???

Mama PC said...

when I was a young married person... all young starting families had dinner at home everynight, except possibly Friday night, when we went and got Pizza or brought it home... and possibly on Sundays, for lunch, went to a cafeteria...

i cooked every night something for supper... a meat, a veggie or two, a salad... or a casserole...

only made desserts every other week or so...

how many of you young peeps actually cook meals for yourselves, or your families any more?

i know of some young people who came to my house and... won't eat my food cause they've never had real food before! they look at it...and say things like...

"i didn't know you could fry potatoes at home..." or "i've never eaten mashed potatoes except at a restaurant..."

or things like that...

Nate said...

I like homemade food! But my sis and bro-in law rarely cook, it's usually cereal for dinner, or I"m not home...and they have hamburger helper or something with no side. Rarely any veggies.

That cake was AMAZING. I didn't want to share it, but my little sidekick caught on...

jess said...

And I cook meals maybe twice a week... the rest of the time, it's leftovers or something microwave.. or we're on the go and we eat out

jess said...

When we're really strapped, I make awesome food.
it was the same in my childhood... my mom would make the best food for pennies...

jess said...

and now, ramen noodles and bed, adieu

Mama PC said...

real home food costs about a tenth of the cost of eating out to eat...

when my niece and nephew came a month or so ago, we took them out to dinner...and my family...and then a bunch of side=kicks went with us... and no one had any money... and i ordered enough food for everyone to have a decent-sized meal at the chinese restaurant (11 of us alltogehter) and it cost $117....(with tip...)

THAT'S RIDICULOUS!

I couldda cooked way more food than what was served... for approx $30.... what fraction of cost is that???

what has happened to the home cooked meal?

I CHALLENGE YOU ALL TO RETURN TO THE KITCHEN!

I'm considering quitting my job (not really...but let me dream)...
and returning to HOME... and adopting about 4 children from miscellaneous countries...and raise them on homecooked meals, line-dried sheets, cloth diapers...and homespun hugs....

I want to bake and cook and wash and clean and craft and dream again...

I want to arrange flowers...

I want to decorate a cake...

I want to light candles in my living room and be home while they're lit so that the house doesn't burn down...

I want to be able to have people come over several nights per week...

but right now, i don't even get home til 7-something...

ok

enough dreaming and thinking and griping...

someday, i'll quit working full time... once we get outta debt fully...

remember younger folks... what you charge will one day return to bite you in the buttocks!
