Well, all the sickies around here are improving... still quite a bit of coughing and hacking and so on, but Toby seems to really be responding to the asthma meds.
It's amazing how being 6 weeks early and then getting RSV did such a doozy on his lungs. The doctor told Richy that when we know a cold front is coming, to start using the nebulizer treatments ahead of time... interesting.. he has been getting sick and wheezy when the temp is about to change. Our little barometer. It's a seasonal thing we'll have to watch for a couple of years, but they usually outgrow it.
My 24 weeker, however, is a trooper. He hardly ever gets sick and when he does, he just carries on. Stanley genes, there.
Mama is fine. Normal. Or you know, relatively. If it was a stroke, it left no indicators... so the best possible outcome to a scary scenario.
She found out she was pregnant while she was in the hospital. While it has been a shock to the family, we all have rallied to support her.

hmm...I wonder if this "modern medicine" is making kids weak...drugs and such from the mother being passed to the kiddo in the womb. Then when said kiddo is born, at the drop of a hat, the american family brings it to the hospital to be shot full of drugs. So the kiddo's body never builds immunities, the drugs do all the work.
I'm not naming names, just noticing a trend here in America. If anything CTK has tons of sick kids that are allowed to be sick untill such a time as the parents are driven crazy and to maintain sanity, bring them to the doctor.
Modern medicine is great, oldy timey kids had a lot higher mortality rate...one might contribute that to them being kept at home when sick...or you may contribute it to there not being a cure for...like...tons of diseases that are simple things to deal with today. Kids used to DIE from chicken pox...some still do occasionally...but for the most part...an interesting little paradoxical question I've posed.
at least to my brain it is.
BTW...the bubonic plague, y'know the one that wiped out half of Europe, was a form of chicken pox...no one had immunities, and the sanitary conditions of the time were absolutely atrocious. Read about it sometime...it's naz-T
but, after becoming a parent, my opinion/outlook on this may/probably will change

That’s very interesting what the doc said about getting ready when cold fronts are coming. A lot of things happen cyclical like that. I broke out in hives all over, really bad, when I was 11. Then, for 4 or 5 years, at the same time every winter I would get a patch of hives on my forearms and legs.
What's Richy's public speaking job for? Introducing the company services to possible clients? Presentations to exisiting clients?

i believe markos witt is the worship leader for the spanish church of LAKEWOOD... he did used to be involved in Christ for the Nations - one time Jason (John's nephew produced a recording for Markos at CFNI) but now, Jason has been hired to lead worship and organize teams for CFNI Spanish Schools, as of this past summer.

cfni is a very "different" place. lots of people from all over the world... culturally it's "different" than most Americans can handle i think...
jason's parents attended there when he was a baby - and he was raised on the mission field in Spain... and has been involved in Spanish-speaking churches in the states all his life... he's more Spanish than American - "different"....
CFNI has a part to play in the kingdom...
