friday

feeling pretty good today, no real contractions since yesterday
afternoon. Last night Leah and Nate came over bearing gifts.
Books....mmmmmmm
and Mama's peach cobbler. I wish I had some more. (SUBTLE HINT)
then I went to bed and I was waiting until 10:30 to watch Everybody
Loves Raymond and then all the sudden it was 4:30 and the room was
pitch black. Verrrrry mysterious. Similar to all those times I fell
asleep in my parent's bed and woke up upstairs, in my room, in the
morning. I think I must have some mysterious sleep-transport ability.

So I slept great and I feel better today, emotionally. Thanks for the
prayers. Now somebody pray for Josh. What a face!

oh and sometime today a woman named Brandy is going to come and stick
me in the hip with a large needle. I just know it.

I think I have this same sleep-transport ability!!! One time, after a long hot summer day on the framing crew, I was driving on I-45 in stop and go traffic. One moment I was behind this big van, then the next thing I know... wala… I'm now one with the van and my poor little Festiva had a dented bumper and broken grill. It's so exciting to know that other people share this unusual power!

Now, look what you did Mom, I went out and bought some fried chicken and potato salad for lunch.
I am not a soul food fan like some folks, but I like some fried chicken once in a while.
Mike loves it though. He loves it when Mom cooks for him. He makes a real sad face and tells her that I never feed him. ( Yeah, he looks starved, right?)
So she cooks him up some of that stuff she was telling yall and he loves it.

Mike and Mikey like to catch catfish. They like to bring them to Mama so she can cook them. Mom loves to fry catfish too. She says its so good because of the cast iron skillet. I think she does something to it to make it so good.
I sent Jess some pictures of them with their catfish.

What time does needle woman come over?

Hope you enjoy the fries Julie. Where are you working that has a deli, or did you go out somewhere? Shannon made her homemade pizza last night, one of my favorites. Yummy fresh veggies, sauce, pepperoni, motz cheese, and healthy whole wheat bough (sometimes spicy sausage). I get to have the leftovers for lunch… ahh an hour and a half to go.

And by the way, nothing is wrong with my pretty face, but for an explanation about the temporary discoloration of by beauty, see the bottom of yesterday's comments.

See ya at lunch.

Now that is the way to eat! Good job D'ana! Not that I eat that way. I try though.

but the real vittles start Monday

and big daddy is Matt

How about sharing that King Ranch Chicken recipe I keep hearing about?

Georgia said...

I don't think that's Matt.

Because I know you all love them, here are your puns of the day:
If you're getting on an airplane and you see your friend Jack, it probably isn't a good idea to yell, "Hi Jack!"

When the drill bit was invented, it was a real turning point.

He put up a barn so his farm would be stable-ized.

Shortly after they got married, Sam and Ella got food poisoning.

Peach cobbler! Yum! What's the recipe you use, Mama?

Anonymous said...

Cast iron skillets are the only way to fry!

Daniel frequently seems to be a bit confused & confusing - but God is good! He will help him out of the fog. LOL! (We're looking out for you, Danny Boy!)

Anonymous said...

Oh no! Sam & Ella = salmonella (sp?)!

In regards to Daniel's 1st comment today: Why would your mama make you clean up that mess when, #1) you're only 7 & #2) you were sleep walking? Seems cruel & unusual. Poor Daniel. No wonder you had a tough time with issues!

The ratking sound like a smooth piece of sharp cheese. He is high on my list of prospects. Domestic Cats are a result of the fall. kg

Daniel bashing?! No way! I just want Mama's recipe for Peach Cobbler!

Anonymous said...

Yo! Mama, give it up! Out with that secret recipe.

Anonymous said...

Hmmm, "pretty much ok with it". Sounds like an issue to me. Can we talk?!

Anonymous said...

Hey - no private chat rooms! What ever needs to be said can be spoken here. Right out in the open! In front of God & friends. Yeehaw!

Anonymous said...

What is needed here is an open forum - that is, input from the rest. Especially, Mama, but only if she gives up the recipe first!

How many anonymous ppl are here anyway?

Julie- Sounds like a good job, glad for you. Boeing is huge here. They have 52,000 of the 100,000+ US employees, in the Seattle area. All the commercial airplanes are built here, so I see huge airplanes everyday. Some of you may have heard that Boeing workers are on strike. It's just 16,000 of the hourly workers here, basically everyone that actually builds the planes, so none are being built right now. All the Human Resources folks that support all of them don’t have jobs right now cause they have no one to support. What I do is as an HR specialist and I support all US employees, including all the salaried workers that aren't on strike. So, I have plenty of work and the strike shouldn't be an issue for by department. Praise God!

(z) - I was on the last ship of my fighting fleet and the sinking missile was on it's way to blow me to smithereens, pretty scary! For a full explanation, see my last post in yesterday's comments. Who is (z) anyway?

Daniel,
It's only because you said such mean things about little kittens, I'm so glad you repented and got those two cute little kittens.

Georgia said...

Yep, you did. Does that make you kinda nauseous?
