hurricane Kai...

We're here at Leah and Nate's. Once we found out that it would take us
12-15 hours to get to S-port, plus the fuel issues... we decided not to
go. PRAISE GOD because that area of 59 N is a quagmire now,,, I was
watching the news last night and could not get over my gratefulness to
be in a house... with my family.
Decided not to stay with the Juans once they did a mandatory evac of
Liberty Cty... across the street.

So here we are. Kai is still in a holding pattern, we were all hoping
he would come last night. He is so big now I can see his facial
expressions through Leah's shirt. ;-)
If he comes soon, they can come back here and spend the night at
home... most likely it will be at the birthing center.
We plan to sleep in the hallway, the safest place.

on a philosphical note; when you're packing up to leave and you don't
know if your house will be there when you get back.. it's amazing how
only a few things matter... guess we don't have much, really.
Everything we needed fit in our car.

blogging till the big one comes

Hey Jess glad to know yall are ok.
We made it to kerrville. Dad use to pastor here so we had a place to stay. Anyway it only took 11 long hours to get here. (usually a 5 hour trip). My mom says to tell yall we are praying for you and praying that Kai comes soon! Let us know how everything is going over there. And if Cut-N-Shoot is still Standing! Jennifer

Hey, glad to see yall are all together. Makes me kinda sad though. Part of me thinks, Praise God! Yablonski party! Load the old car up and run out to the Woodlands! But I also know that with Jess laying still and Leah wishing she could lay anywhere, and Richy trying to pray this thing through, it is really probably a very calm and peaceful relatively quiet thing there.
Although I dont know how peaceful it can get with Anila and R2 partying it up.
If it calms down in time, I will be at the birthing center for the big event. The freeways are clear now, REAL CLEAR, like Stephen King clear.

Party Down, wayne! Well at least party down Toby and Kai.

Im with you Sharon. I think this maybe hyped up some. Although I guess the proof will be in the pudding huh?

That sounds kinda scary, the groups of mean people milling around. Sort of like packs of abandoned dogs.

To the Terrys:
I'm counting on yall to party on like the true Yablonski's yall are.
( this includes you Jennifer and Madison)
Love Georgia

All the important stuff fit in my car too...I have learned that I have way too much stuff.........

I hear all of my children praising God that their mother has finally "seen the light."

If my house is untouched, I will be doing a major spring cleaning.

If my house is touched, I will also be doing a major spring cleaning.

Jeg elsker dig. All of you.

Glad to hear it isn't you, Mickey. It's good of you to help these hurting souls down there, TX has some crazy ones that could benefit from a "Who Am I" help line.

So is the wind really picking up already down there already?

Wow, guys the lake looks like Galveston, it has real waves and everything. It has a shore now since they drained it a little and I am starting to hear some wind blowing here in the apt.

My parents made it to Jeremy and Meredith this morning, so they're all there. I just saw on the news that water is already pouring over some of the levees in New Orleans... here they go again.

well, needless to say I am shocked to hear that Mikey is consorting with Ratking.... disgusting

right now leah and nini are napping and r1 and r2 are learning all about storm surges... nate took some boiling water and sharp knives over to nativiti for later

Jennifer,
No we are going to ride it out here. I figure our chances are just as good here as at Leah's. Mike works here and he says the construction of these apts is very good. We are not in a flood plain although we are 20 feet from the bank. They have drained it several feet in anticipation. Mike is very confident that we are safe here. His confidence is contagious.

Can you bring us back some pastries?

Boiling water and sharp knives! Yikes!

Thank you very much Julie. I am very proud of him. He is a delight for a son. Most Moms cant say that at 19, but we are very proud of him in many ways.

Georgia said...

Yeah, not looking forward to that part Jennifer.

It is just another day in Conroe,

HOT and muggy and maybe a few extra clouds and just alittle wind.

Is it still headed for the boarder?

Viking Granny!!!! said...

Good Greif.

Maybe it will move over and hit the same wet abandoned area in Louisianna.

OK, for a fun break (and a tiny bit of education), you all have to check out Store Wars.

It’s a very funny video spun from Star Wars about the fight between the Organic Alliance (or something like that) and the bad processed food. You need Flash Player (which most of you probably have) to watch it, or you can download it in Quick Time or WMP. It’s pretty funny!!

Anything new with Kai?

Hows Leah?

Viking Granny!!!! said...

Yippeeeeeeee!

Sounds like everything is moving in the right direction.

We are on the clean side of the storm Linda and we will all be fine.

And there will be a new Yablonski born this day or tomorrow. How exciting.

Here at work some clients are helping me fill H20 containers and some clients are quietly freaking out. Normal day at work.

Love ya'll

So did the Nelsons go on out to the birthing center to spend the night or are they waiting on the contractions to get stronger?

And how about your contractions?
I hope all this moving around hasnt caused Toby problems.

Viking Granny!!!! said...

Almost 1am and all is well. We are all still here and there have been no problems, just alittle sprinkling rain.

O boy.......God answeres Prayers.

It was a strong Cat5 and now the center wind by the eye is only 80 miles per hour.

What a wonderful awesome Daddy God!

jess said...

I haven't heard from mama yet, but last night it looked like nothing was happening with Leah
