blog

my mind is too sleepy... will blog later...

LATER, on the ranch:
The problem is, I am a morning person. As in sleep 2 hours and wake up smiling disgusting morning person. This has always been an entertaining thing to me, as there are few of "my people". My husband is a sleep 5 more minutes snooze button addict kinda guy.
So here's what happens... the man of God decides that tomorrow, he will wake up with the dawn and go to Sinai. The man of God is not capable of waking himself, so he sets his alarm clock for 3 in the morning or whatever (usually 7). When the alarm goes off, the morning person (me) is awake. Even though she stayed up till 2 or 3 with Ted Dekker or whoever (not Lori Wick, I assure you)... And the man of God groggily stirs himself to action, which includes climbing over his 6 month pregnant wife, implanting knees and elbows in all tender locations, and slapping the snooze button. The man of God then goes back to a peaceful sleep, like Kai with 6 oz in him.
The morning person is not really ready to get up. Noone will make her breakfast, and there's not really any reason to get up when you're supposed to lay down all the time so your baby doesn't fall out. So, she lies in bed, wide awake, thinking evil thoughts toward her soulmate, the MOG.
Repeat for 1 hour. Add mild profanity from The MP and sleepy apologies from the MOG. Add the MP turning the dadgum thing off, and when the MOG wakes up on his own at 9:30.... add the deep regret and sorrow, that somehow, he missed the dawn.

I had a dream last night that there was this huge (red colored) band of storms coming our way. It was a disorganized storm, but vicious. It was problem a wishful dream, as I look at weather patterns and radar loops for fun. - Richy

OK Jess, I fully understand....MOG!
I am a slap the snooze kind of person and I am glad that Don gets out of bed at 5:00am so I don't have to crawl over him to get to the button. I have been known to wear out a few buttons in my 50 years of snoozing. Funny thing is, I have always wished to be a MP but never quite got there. Once when I was about 25 I had this amazing garden growing in my yard...you know, tomatoes, potatoes, squash etc. and one morning I found myself out there pulling weeds at 6am. When I came to my senses I went back inside and have never planted a garden again. Whew, that was scary.

Tamales, anyone? Only 5 pesos! Tamales!

jess said...

sorry Katie... pretty boring on the weekends

I probably grew items in my garden that cost me $25 each. Like wonderful ripe red tomatoes. I just told myself that there wonderfulnessness was worth it.
By the by, mama. I will evacuate with you if you don't go to Tara. Some people down there "don't give a hoot".

beebow said...

Where do you live now, Katie?
This is Brenda.

beebow said...

I am so happy for you. Where do you work?

Georgia said...

Katie,
If you type 100 wpm you SURE can get a job that makes more money than that. Although if the bakery is doing it for you, Houston Community College has a pastry chef program that looks really interesting. They have financial aid too.

Beebow, did you take a pregnancy test yet? ( tongue-in- cheek)

Mama, Wasnt Tara destroyed during the Civil War? Is there another way to get there? If I went to Tara first thing I would do would be get rid of those dresses. Man, no wonder them women were fainting all the time. Tight corsets making it hard to breathe and Long frilly dresses with about 15 petticoats in the 100 plus degree weather. Get them ladies some AC! I dont want to be sipping sarsaparilla and fainting all day. Wheres the pools?

Hello, I'm Scarlet, sit down here and have a little lemonade, My dont we have a strange way of dressing in where did you say you were from? Texas? Uh-huh? Well I declare, do all the ladies in Texas reveal their underbellies in public? My oh my, I think I'm gettin the vapors, Mamie, take me to my bed and get this here lady some proper attire...

Talking to myself again. Dang it. Just need to get on during the day. Quit school and just hang out here. Dont take the kids to work or shop or anything. Kind of reminds of the bunny song.
Dont go to work
Dont go to school
Stay home and eat bunnies
Cause bunnies are cool...

Sharon! hey! dont be shy! We all love you here. What do you think about corsets like in gone with the wind?

jess said...

Hey... I just read Jess's entry. I woke up at 8 am this morning! Only 1 hour after the alarm went off 20 times...
Georgia, I don't know if my dream was prophetic!?
We'll find out. I'm probably going to just go buy a generator, and ride it out. But it may not get to us...

jess said...

suuuuuuuurrrre he did

Georgia said...

Yeah, I forgot about her Jennifer. She needs to be in the scene definitely.

Georgia said...

Richy,
Like you said we will see. Anyway it sounds like a good idea for your little family to have a generator. Around here they buy the generator right before the hurricane and sell them on the side of the 1960 right after. Mike is so sure about the sturdiness of our complex, I am sure we will ride one out too, if we have one. Mom says she is heading for the hills once a thunderstorm comes our way. I doubt she would leave Toby for several months still.

I think we may hear from Dr Mikey sometime tonight. I just get this feeling.

I love that white chili yall made for the women's conference. I am bringing cheesecake, I think, If my cook will ever stop watching tv and go make it.
That sounds sooo good.

Georgia said...

I dont want any 3 or 4 alarm. I hope it has some kind of warnings on it.

This chili could cause a severe lack of internal peace physically. Proceed with caution, not for the mild of stomach.

If you tell me where the picture is and give me your user id and password I can put it on for you. Or I can tell you how if you want, but it sounds more complicated than it is.

Georgia said...

Wow, that's cool. I am getting excited already, no telling what God has for us! Prayer is probably going to be intense too tomorrow since he is a teacher for prayer and intercession. Heather said to ask him if he remembers her, She said she is the one that was always falling asleep, even though that was her favorite class.( just joking, dont really ask him)

Georgia said...

She really loved him. She said he was a really good teacher and she likes that subject. She falls asleep because of other problems, it has nothing to do with him.

There are many more Scarlet pictures if you want one just give me your info. If you want to do it privately here is my email address.
