Tomorrow is the test drive for the somewhat chauvinist guys day.... We ladies can only speak when spoken to. Should be pretty entertaining. Unfortunately, Daniel and Richy will be out of town... But if it goes well, we'll run it again.

Good morning. For our Africa trip we will be fasting Thursdays. I guess that I will have to skip dinner on Wednesday so that I can have our buffet on Thursdays.
I promise you I will come with a big appetite on Thursdays, and the men will probably be glad to know that I do not have plans for all salads again at least until after Africa.

my sister wanted me to come for her first grandbabies dedication......
my sister and husband pastor a large church down in east Houston..... it's where papa jc sometimes goes to lead worship when their leader is on vacation or the one died suddenly and we went to help for several months during the shock of it all.....
it's a traditional Assembly of God... very nice people..... they asked papa jc to be their worship leader back in '01/'02..... but we really didn't feel God leading.....plus it's so far away from here where we now live.....

the litle baby, Caleb, is so sweet.....
the couple live in San Antonio where he's a youth pastor, but they wanted to have a dedication service here in Houston where my sister's church family could be involved......plus the grandparents from the other side flew in as well..... so, it was like a big family reunion of sorts for my sister......

you shouldda seen my hay (hair) Sunday - i pulled it back in some sorta "doo" - teased it a bunch and had some sort of hair do you'd never believe!!! Kinda in an up-do.... maybe you'll be able to view it before it goes the way of longhairs before.....
i'm home 'sick' today. had to call in sick. hope sharon is doing okay there without me...... if i'm feeling better they told me to come in tomorrow on my day 'off'..... we'll see.....

oh, and i have a visitor coming over tonight and i'm truly not up for him to come over. it's a 2nd or 3rd cousin, in his 70's......who is lovingly bringing my great-grandmother's restored violin to give to Hannah Elizabeth! He's so sweet to give it to Hannah - but I'm feeling badly and the house is it's usually style of wreckedness...well, not that bad...but i don't feel like standing up to clean anything..... so, when hannah comes home from work, maybe she can help clean up a bit....... we don't see this cousin very often... and he's making a special trip...

Mama PC...would the steriod shot I got make me irratable? Since I got it yesterday I've been on edge and easily annoyed. Just all around mean/irratable/cranky...I'm not usually like this...I'm usually easy going and let things roll of my shoulder...but today and yesterday I've been a big jerk...and I didn't even realized I was saying/doing mean things untill after I had done them.
nate- i believe that the irritability is just from being plain-old sick but on the mend now.....
you WERE so ill, that you couldn't be irritable - now that you are healing somewhat - you're realizing how badly you feel.
take that cough medicine we talked about and go take a nap!

I flipped over my desk and went screaming into the night looking for a firing squad.
She told this young woman (after talking to her husband first) that although she didnt make her husband choose to look at porn on his computer, because she hasn't been supportive of the things he wants to do she has certainly put him in the place where he has to look at other things for the instant gratification that a man needs. GOOOOOOOD GRIIIEEEFFF! When the young woman told her that the husband did not represent the facts correctly and that actually he has had a porn problem for a while, Dr. L responded "Oh my, and I believed him. Well I have been no help to you at all and we are out of time. Sorry! Okay, to our next caller." I wanted to scream! Literally!

Servant, it has been my experience that all a man needs to do to initiate a gathering of men is to put his vehicle in the front yard with the hood open and stand and look at the motor (with hands in pockets) or get a truck stuck in deep mud. Men will come from all sides to take part in the ceremony.

We were riding in Don's truck and got stuck in deep mud. He sent me (and 2 of the babies) back to the house to call for help. I walked into the house, picked up the tele and to my amazement there were 2 men and their trucks already trying to pull him out. It was like radar or something. I had to laugh....it was so weird.
