Jenna stats are in the downstairs post...
Happy Birthday to Kat!
Well, Leah got the first real smiles out of Toby last night... She was "eating" his cheeks.... you know the game, mommies. And there it was! So you better believe we've been munching on him since then.
Toby ate at 7 this morning and then woke up atg 9 saying I'M STARVING HELLO WHERE IS THE SERVICE AROUND HERE YOU AREN'T GETTING A TIP I'M DYING HERE and so on.
So I woke up and he ate for about 5 minutes and is not hungry anymore... busy... wants to look around.
Sleep. I knew him well.
I may go up to the hospital today and meet Jenna. If I do I'll take some pictures.

Hello!!
Katie, Servant # 987.. is James, did you see his name on his profile yet. Yep, he was saying that Jeremy is his great friend. : )
That would be cool to see Jeremy & Meredith on here though!
I gonna have a bouuuuncing baaaaby booooy!
Katie, I'm glad you both enjoyed the zoo for V-day. : D
That's great that you have better hours now, I'm happy for you.
I was wanting a girl, yet I'm still very excited about our boy. It's fine with me to have a boy first. It's unique knowing & starting to bond when I talk to him. I can notice him move around more when we're talking.. he likes to hear our voices!! That's so sweet!
We're still deciding on his name.
I've been busy registering this week, online.. picking what we want.
Yes, a good zoo that I had went to when I was young.. & Josh & I went back in August, shortly after knowing that I was pregnant.. the first pic of me on this blog, near a flower, was at the zoo.
Here is a heart-thankfulness-provoking devotion from a Spurgeon devotion e-mail that I got today.
I thought some of you may enjoy it also.
Nehemiah 9:20
"You also gave Your good Spirit to instruct them.."
***Common, too common is the sin of forgetting the Holy Spirit. This is folly and ingratitude. He deserves well at our hands, for He is good, supremely good. As God, He is good essentially. He shares in the threefold ascription of Holy, holy, holy, which ascends to the Triune Jehovah. Unmixed purity and truth, and grace is He. He is good benevolently, tenderly bearing with our waywardness, striving with our rebellious wills; quickening us from our death in sin, and then training us for the skies as a loving nurse fosters her child. How generous, forgiving, and tender is this patient Spirit of God. He is good operatively. All His works are good in the most eminent degree: He suggests good thoughts, prompts good actions, reveals good truths, applies good promises, assists in good attainments, and leads to good results. There is no spiritual good in all the world of which He is not the author and sustainer, and heaven itself will owe the perfect character of its redeemed inhabitants to His work. He is good officially; whether as Comforter, Instructor, Guide, Sanctifier, Quickener, or Intercessor, He fulfils His office well, and each work is fraught with the highest good to the church of God. They who yield to His influences become good, they who obey His impulses do good, they who live under His power receive good. Let us then act towards so good a person according to the dictates of gratitude. Let us revere His person, and adore Him as God over all, blessed for ever; let us own His power, and our need of Him by waiting upon Him in all our holy enterprises; let us hourly seek His aid, and never grieve Him; and let us speak to His praise whenever occasion occurs. The church will never prosper until more reverently it believes in the Holy Ghost. He is so good and kind, that it is sad indeed that He should be grieved by slights and negligences.***
Happy Birthday, Pretty Kelly!!!

that's a flower, hope it turned out alright. ; )
Ya, even though it brings some thankfulness.. also some conviction. I hear ya.
On the subject of the value.. well, large valueless of TV, I just saw a new blog today.. she writes about the role & wickedness & waste of much of TV.. a voice of our culture, how it's inundated everything (hard to find any children's toys, clothes, without it being related to some character or show-- & without the toys having noises & light. Rare to find simple toys) She mentions other things too. It's great!
The toy comment made me think of that great store in the mall that has neat little gadgets, puzzles, etc. Simple toys! And the old deeply enriching activity of just reading is so important not to let slip away in our & our children's lives. Wow, I just heard something about the value of reading on the radio while lying there waking this morning & then on this blog.. God's building some plans in my future mommy-life, it seems! ; )
This is the last post she did on a series.. I haven't gotten to reading her previous posts about the TV yet..
(I don't know how to do hyperlinks yet, so just copy & paste it)

Ya, I had cut & pasted the devotion! Definitely thought of doing that!! grin
YES, fresh dirt smells great.. something we have in common! I love 5-way chili. hee hee
Thanks for sharing, that's neat hearing how it was so peaceful & exciting. I have about 8 1/2 wks left right now.
Oh, boy, preparing myself for a more messy house..
Well, I just got to thinking, there are a lot of baby/children's clothes with just animals, transportation/vehicles, designs, sports, & sayings on them.. so it's not too hard to find them, like that blog said. I've been seeing them, as I've been registering for baby things.
Just wanted to correct that thought.. it's a change of thought. sorry, hadn't thought that thought yet.. shall I go on?? whatcha think? ha ha I'll stop now.
It was taking a long time to re-load the page.
Yes, Josh is the neat type, you're right. I am too.. so between us, we won't be able to stand it too messy for long periods of time, when we can help it. It'll be great having him help with that, what a blessing! He is definitely a great helper & shares the load here.. so nice when I'm exhausted or my feet & legs hurt from this pregnancy weight!! : ) thanks, hon!
I need to go & get some things done. Later <3
blessings to bloggers from peet
beautiful!
Katie, blessings to you & your household
Aww man, that hottie from WA done left on me. . .
James, so funny. . . Jeremy sure can inhale groceries, he's well know for that! Add great brother to the list for him. Shannon and I both miss he and Meredith often and wish we could see them more. It’s always a joy to talk to them on the phone.
Happy Birthday KW!
Good devotion Sweets!
I really love zoos also! I once thought about taking a summer road trip just to go to a bunch of zoos. I like wild cats and monkeys / orangutans the most. But, I really like most all animals, God is so creative.
I am the neat type, sometimes to a fault. I bugged Shannon early in our marriage cause I wouldn’t let things be a little messy for a while. I’ve learned to relax more. But, yes, we both keep it pretty neat.
anybody ever hear from TomStiles? they still in Houston area?
Yo Katie, I’m doing great! Yep, getting very excited about having a little guy around!! Like Shannon said, it’s been fun talking to him and watching him move around. I have pictures of playing and wrestling with him, teaching and encouraging him, and just loving and enjoying him. It’ll be great. Of course, reality is that it won’t ALL be great, times of discipline will be needed, etc., but I don’t despise that. It’s need to love him and train him in the ways of the Lord. . . just part of love.
If you're at Thanksgiving dinner, but you don't like the stuffing or the cranberry sauce or anything else, just pretend like you're eating it, but instead, put it all in your lap and form it into a big mushy ball. Then, later, when you're out back having cigars with the boys, let out a big fake cough and throw the ball to the ground. Then say, "Boy, these are good cigars!"

review of last night...
hubby and i were going to have an evening alone, doing nothing but what ever we wanted to do...
then, Linds invited Brian over.....and Hannah and J were home....so I made a simple supper......and we ate at 7 pm., then Hannah wanted to play a Narnia game that Ina let her borrow... so, since J was 'game'...and who knows how much longer my kids will be home.....i couldn't just say "no"...so, i ended up staying up til 10:30!!! too late for a 4:20 riser...... then, at 1 a.m. I heard talking in the living room and our guest was still THERE! and of course I was stifling hot since the weather is so strange, so I didn't get enough zzzzzzz's.....
so, tonight - i'm moving out into the barn to sleep so I can get some zzzzzzz's......
"-)
sometimes i fall asleep , then i feel papa jc poking me and when i say "what" he says "you're snoring"....
well how else am i gonna get some zzz's unless i snore! don't zzz's and snoring GO together..
i've threatened to get a twin bed to put in the corner of our room...
or, maybe i'll buy that camper trailer i've seen for sale.....
ben arner??? servant... are you sleep-deprived???
supposed
mama pc, if you find a sale on those headphones, let me know; maybe then servant will stop poking me too...
"you're snoring."

Hey, just got back from an errand..
I was really trying the banana one out loud, couldn't figure it out, although sounded funny.. glad you said.. the Dustin Dubree made me laugh out loud! : ) hee hee
Ya, there's some other pretty mean combos we've heard of too!.. such as.. hmm, can't think of 'em, I'm pregnant. That's my excuse. My brain just really doesn't work as well.
Anyway, I have some more little errands here to do.. I feel so busy, yet I really don't have too much on my 'list'.. please pray for me, I think it's the scatterness of my brain that makes me feel out of control & like I'll forget to do things in the order that makes sense & end up wasting more time, or not getting the most important done first.. ya, so prayers for me are coveted from you guys. Thanks much!
It is quite a pretty sunny day. Wanted to add my positive thought.. another one, Josh'll get to look at our registry stuff this evening that I've been working on.. that'll be nice to get some more planning done with him, and get it wrapped up tomorrow.
thanks hotrod, it's nice to know i'm not alone
8)
i was just stopping in to say hi to everyone
it's almost time to leave for home group 8)
Yippee, yippeeeeee. Mere is on!
We got your msgs & we talked just after at lunchtime & we're excited!! By that time Josh'll have built up some more vacation time to use (he's saving right now for our boy's arrival).. but that'd be fine for you two to stay with us! Hope it works out for you two also!
We'll probably call you two tonight to talk about it.. if tonight is not good, we'll try this weekend.
Our boy will be about 2 months old, how fun & special!!
Love, sis-in-law
