Toby slept pretty good. That being said, I am still tired.
Back in 2 hours or so.
9:45
Last night I followed a lot of advice I read online... I fed Toby at bedtime excessively, turned off the lights and TV and didn't talk. I then ignored him as he cried for 5 minutes.
Then he slept for 3 hours! hooray!
And the next two times he woke up I didn't turn on the light or talk while I fed him... and he slept good again!
Oh man I hope this is the real deal and keeps working.

Just FYI
I just wanted to voice "type" something. I heard "read" alot of complaining on the blog yesterday that the guys wanted somewhere to blog free on women's comments and casually and freely as they want to. Well, my husband "hot rod" once again wants to invite all the guys to blog as much as they want on his blog. You can't miss it. It is the one with the race car. I don't know how else to make the invitation any more inviting.
Terri,
What time was it? I went to Wal-Mart two times yesterday.
Katwoman,
The only reason I had to go to Wal-Mart two times is that I had to get my daughter to a prayer meeting before I was done shopping the first time.
Marnin

VKG does sound better than VG
Terri,
Yeah, IM is instant messaging. Your daughter uses it at work.
IM on dial up is a joke...
Jess,
I think you have to go ahead and get some cereal for that boy. I had this problem with Michael and Mike's mother told me that he was just hungry and he needed cereal. That fixed it. He was just hungry. He slept all night from then on.
Jess,
I agree with Georgia in asmuch as cereal at night does fill their little stomachs more and help them sleep longer.
But I will say that with all on mine, it also stretched their little stomachs so that after only a few days, they were once again waking up until I increased the cereal, giving me a few more nights of sleep, and the cycle only continued from there. I was always having to increase their intake. It can lead to feeding an infant way more than they should ever eat.
Although, with Abigail, due to her reflux, we never gave her infant cereal. I mashed and strained avacados as her first food. She really liked it and it contains tons of "good fat."
I thought that I would only see something like that in California.
Teri, what do you think? Avacados as a child's first food?
Terri,
I don't know what it is about your name, but I keep ommitting a t? So Teri or Terri, you know who I am talking to.
I would recommend avocados anytime for anyone. MMMMMMMMM
Okay, took your advice and fed Toby some Capn Crunch
man, terri, you and kim are having a hard time with this.
Let me help
Kim is forgetting the r, not the T
And that would be the Double R not the Souble
there ya go
Good morning/afternoon,
Good day here.
Yo, Mere. Glad you & Jeremy are coming in June, it’ll be a good time!
Good prayer & devotional Servant, thanks!
Glad you got more sleep Jess.
Wal Mart has many uses.
Avocadoes are nappy. . . blah!
Shannon made me cry last night (good way). Tell about in a moment.
Terri,
I actually have a health cookbook for infants through adults and it mentions avacados as one of the first foods.
Jess,
If you want to borry the book, let me know and I can get it to you. It is "really healthy", I took some and discarded the rest.
So, Shannon went baby clothes shopping yesterday with a friend at two Outlet Mall stores. She got 11 or 12 outfits & items for $80, awesome (this is truly amazing, but not what made me cry. . haha). We had to go right back out the door when she got home, to get to our baby check-up with the mid-wife. Later that night when she got to show me the clothes, she pulled them out one by one and showed them to me. I was like, “Wow, he’s going to fit into that little thing!” I made Shannon smile by putting a newborn one on my chest like I was patting and hold it. Then 4 or 5 items later, Shannon pulls out a bid, and puts on my lap, that says:
“more like daddy everyday” (the daddy letters are cars of a train, ya know the look)
That was it. At that moment, God just touched me, and I started really crying, then of course Shannon starts crying. I was just thinking, “He’ll want to be like me Lord. . . let it be good & You. . O God, help me to raise him loving You!” Since we knew we had a boy three weeks ago, I’ve been thinking more and more about him wanting to be like me, and praying for God’s help. It was a good cry, and a touch from the Father, who will be a help to me, to help our boy be a man of God.
that's sweet, Josh. It is going to be so good!
I sent R2 to time out an hour and a half ago...
and he's just in his room talking to himself and laughing now...
I guess I'll leave him in there

the present election is the primary
**the official date is march 7**
but it's ALWAYS smart to vote early
this is for county and district judges whose terms are up, county and district clerks, state representatives, appellate and supreme court judges, railroad commissioner, and GOVERNOR and LIEUTENANT GOVERNOR.
the two races i know the very most about are the races for judge of county court at law number 3
***do not under any circumstances vote for grady james, please***
my personal preference is patrice mcdonald; she has integrity, and she has class, and she is well-respected
the race for the 359th district court is another.....the incumbent Kathleen Hamilton is the hardest working judge i've ever seen; i worked for the judge before her, and daily see one of the people running against her. the one i don't see that often is challenging her work ethic, but obviously about of ignorance.
she came to the bench 4 years ago ( i think it was , maybe 3)
with a badly behind docket, and she works (has court) five days a week, almost always all day long, and takes work home with her. she has done amazing things toward getting it done, and she is extremely thorough and caring. she doesn't sentence someone to prison without considering the decision heavily, and i have enormous respect for her. if she is someone inefficient as her opponents seem to have in mind, it is only because she is so extremely thorough and holds herself very accountable for the decisions she makes that affect people's lives so profoundly.
as for governor.....please pray.....i was on-line today scoping them out, and i could only find one i might be willing to vote for....and that would just be the lesser of the four evils.
so i don't know.
as for the 284th district court, ruben hope was our state representative, but i really don't know anything about him; gilbert garcia is very well-respected by those who know him in this county. cara wood .. i've heard lots of great comments, but don't know her either. keith valigura is a really GREAT guy, and i love to hold a conversation with him--a little concerned for his health under the stress of being a judge--don't think i could vote for him...
and
stephen taylor, hasn't really campaigned
janice baldwin.... i heard her say with my own ears that the only reason she's running as a republican is that that's the only way she has a chance...that concerns me, though i do like her as a person
ok, well, i think i've used up more than my allotment
but one more thing
****don't*****
****fail******
*****to ******
****vote*****
oh, wait, one more thing......
it's important to vote in the primary for this reason......many offices in our part of the country have candidates in only one party....republican.....this is the deciding vote in many races--at the primaries.
love ya
have to go back to work
sorry again for the HUGE post

Mom,
You can use periods, God created them for people who dont want to say stop all the time.
Capn Crunch! Oh my gosh! He is going to end up just like cousin Kai ( who needs a whopper)
Layla and Lacy both interviewed for jobs they wanted real bad this morning. Lacy got hers. Layla is waiting.... Poor Layla...
kemosabe

Actually I think it was John Teinert who invented the period.( VERY VERY recent invention)

Yeah, it has a car. It is a trilogy. Not exciting like Dekker, but funny. Did you read showdown yet?
r2 is still in his room. I know I'm abusive but he was crying out here and he's laughing in there... I told him to come out and eat lunch and he didn't want to. Just laying on his bed kicking the wall and talking and singing

It is called Flabbergasted.
I found her online. Mirthmaking, no?
No, I am wondering about it. Did they think Showdown was another one of the evil ones. Like obsession?
I have Showdown waiting at the library for me.
But I got a Dekker fanmail that said a lot of people think he's gone too far with the evil...

They are showing up on my screen but before your posts and sometimes many posts behind.

I wasn't seeing them but I see them now
Once upon a time there was an evil Mona Lisa. She wasnt your average Mona Lisa that just hangs on the wall on the louvre and looks like she is thinking about raisin bran... No, she was an evil Mona Lisa. She had BAD schemes. One day when little Timmy Mc Alister wasnt looking evil Mona Lisa came and stole all of the marshmallows out of his bowl of lucky charms. Timmy's mom accused Timmy of just eating the marshmallows and told him he could not have any more until he ate the rest of his cereal...
Hi, Jennifer.
I need to change my picture, but I have only a little time and I want to just talk instead.
One day when Timmy's father was getting drunk on the porch, evil Mona Lisa stole all the flowers out of the gardens and left the weeds for drunk Tim senior to weed out.
that rascally Mona Lisa. I knew she was up to no good.
