Josh's challenge:
Challenge:
Jessica didn’t ask me about this, but if you can guess at least the first name, you really will get a gift certificate $20 at the restaurant of you choice.
Good luck
1) You can have 7 guesses, so don’t use them all at once.
2) You can guess up till Mid-night.
3) If you’re lucky, I may give some hints to narrow down, but not really help.
the first initial is one of these letters:
C, D,L, R, X, Y

Frist, just beat Shannon.
Other hints I've given:
1) It’s not an easy name. Not as unique as our other ones (that we've said before), but still fairly uncommon.
2) None that we've said on the blog before.
Jessica- you may want to put the prize on the home page. $20 at resturant of your choice.

Another hint: not Biblical
I think it starts with X
Xavier???
When we were naming Jeremiah, we couldn't decide until two days after he was born between
and no, i'm not guessing these names, just conversating...
Jedidiah John Crouse or
Jeremiah John Nathan Crouse or
John Nathan Crouse or
John Nathan Daniel Crouse......
... we finally decided on Jeremiah John...
no, those weren't any guesses...
MPC is a very wise woman and has good reasoning skills when it comes to name. If you will go back to her prior reasoning, it may dawn some light.
interesting sounds coming from J's room right now.. an electric guitar playing a bass-drone line.... a foot beating a bass beat.... and a one hundred year old violin expressing an interesting melody line (J and Hannah)

oops
"ya gotta think of a name that would sound manly... but not conflict with the manliness of "Peterson"...... and since "peterson" has 3 syllables, you probably wouldn't want 3 syllables for a first name.... so, I think it will be a mono-syllabic first name... "
ok, "Ryan Peterson"
you probably wouldn't want a name with a "sen" sound..... or a "ee" sound...... to "pinched" sounding...
so, it probably has a strong "a" or a strong "o"....
hmmm.... R... but not too "old" sounding, unless older names are coming back again...
it's so hard to guess...
Jess- that would be the correct reasoning.
hmmmm
going to watch Wheel of Fortune with my hubby........ as I listen to a drum/violin duet in the back of my house...
bump bump bump/ ping ping ping/ zing zing zing/ da da da da...
the whole house is rattling!
i think it is a one syllable name... a strong one
you wouldn't put an "oo" in the name, nor a "en".... would you?
how "foreign" are you going, Josh and Shannon? What is both of your heritage? What are both of your middle names... I insist ... AND I want to know all of your parent's names, first and middle AND LAST!
AND YOUR GRANDPARENTS' NAMES.....
Wheel can Wait!!!!!!!!!
"Cael"???
i think i like that one...
"Cael"...
Cael Peterson....
Jehu Hawkins Peterson PI
it's an odd spelling, unique, not "old" like the 1950's, but maybe older like an old european name...
it's like this... some people are just too special to use a name that everyone else has... but if you go back not far enough for a name, you might feel like you're comparing them to great uncle Larrimore or Great Aunt Prissy... but..... so, you've gotta go WAY back...
and it's not Biblical....... so i predict it's WAY back long-ago used name...
Just Kidding Peterson
(cause he is really a girl)
Josh and Shannon must be eating leftover fried chicken and pumpkin pie WITH COOL WHIP!!!
Gerogia, how are U?
Well, I've probably gone over my 7 guesses..... do we still get to guess and will we win if we go over 7 guesses, Josh?
these are goofy guesses, please don't count..... but, would you name a poor little boy
Yen Peterson? nope
Xen Peterson? nope
Rain Peterson? nope
Ripe Peterson? nope
Race Petrson? nope
Rhyme Peterson? nope
Lame Peterson? I don't think so...
Dang Peterson... definitely not...
ok... i'm quitting. i still think he's little
CAEL Peterson
Katie... what did doctor say about your anemia situation?
OK, MPC's reasoning of a strong "a" or "o" is good.
Katie- you don't know it, so guess on. It's a new one.
Can't give parents' names and such, too much info on a public space. Plus, it has nothing to do with their names or our heritage per say.
the music continues on... droning bass-line electric guitar.....drums being played with feet...and the violin sounding a little Jewish-like......
i love my chittlin's.....
We were hanging up some house numbers on the fence in front of our place.
We did have pumpkin pie with our luch with cool whip AND vanilla ice cream that Shannon just returned from the store with.
papa jc is having a WONDERFULLY healthy meal.....
microwaved hot dogs.....
wedges of longhorn colby cheese
ketchup on the side
and salad with HOMEMADE RANCH DRESSING...
I frequented Sonic this afternoon for a burger, fries and blended float......
Those last two post were from me.
Shannon would never spell lunch wrong, just never.
"Roan Peterson"
"Cale"
We need to straighten up and get stuff ready for the baby shower. We'll check back in a while.
UPDATE:
Those who have exceeded guesses can have two more freebies.
"Yale" Peterson???
HINT: First letter is also in the first half of the alphabet.
Latter, gotta help Shannon with stuff.
Cody?
i ate blt's from sonic 3 times/week for about a year a couple of years ago after work on my hour drive home and after that....i was sick of sonic for a year! but, now..... i'll try it now and then... but, yuck... fast food gets tiring.....
well, i'm tired out and hannah's saying i'm taking too much time on computer...... so, i'll bid adieu.....which J says in french means "bye, i guess"
C, D,L
COLE
None of the above
AHA!
"Colt"
i thought of "lone", but they aren't that bad of parents.....
Colton.......
Caylen Peterson
i've TOTALLY exceeded my guesses!

CDL - first letter
One syllable
Long O or A sound
it wasn't a LONG "a" or "o", it was a STRONG "a" or "o".
Harvy- read my NOTS...
That's not phonics... do you mean like strOng as opposed to bOat
More like bOat or mAid. Like you hear the A or O, what ever you call that. (not like boot or bag).
yep... that's long
Back to cleaning, be back.
UPDATE:
You may now use all resources: name books, internet, etc.
Case
that is my 4th guess.. I get 5 more
Drake
Holt
Keep on guessing folks
Back to washing pans. . .
B. Begins with C, D or L
check my list of NOTS... everybody only has 9 guesses
We Have A Winner
Ding ding ding
And the winner is. . .
Jessica- on her 7th guess she pulls it in!!
The Name: Craig
This is currently the name we like the most and is highly possible to be our boy's name, but not for sure.
So Jess, where will it be? It actually needs to be a place around here we can get a certificate from. Macaroni Grill, Red Robin, Olive Garden, or suggest something and I’ll let you know. Of course, you could pick McD’s or Burger King, $20 will go a loooooong way there.
Curious: Did you use any resources?
Congratulation Jessica!
Zander is still in the runnings, we just hadn't looked at the name book a whole lot yet, now we have.
Oh, the fine print was that the winner had to be present at the time of award in order to claim the prize. She better show up soon.
I'm here!
yaaaaaaaayyyy
confession, though: I doubted my Craig guess and deleted it... BUT I did guess it... do I still get credit?
Craig

I don't know Jess, that's deceitful, unethical, immoral. . let see. . rotten, horrid, shameful.
I shoulda trusted my instincts
and I was on a baby name website.... but that name wasn't there- I just thunk of it
Well, then I'll let you inteligence make up where your character left off. . OUCH!! (kidding)
YOU WIN!! CONGRATS!!
Where will it be?
(we don't have Chili's here, I'd know if we did. . I miss it and eat there everytime we're in TX.)
We have the above that I said and others, if you want to ask.
Dinner is ready, be back in 15 or 20.
the thrill of victory.... let me think
Red Robin is good, not our favorite, but very good. They have unique burgers and sandwiches, and some other unique items. Shannon loves the strawberry lemonade, they put lots of real strawberries in it, it’s good. Between IL and WA, we’ve been 10, maybe more times.
Jess- As we sit at the table eating spaghetti and steamed vegies, we remember a certain very large spaghetti pot that was borrowed from us waaaay back in TX and never returned. I estimate it’s value to be $18.75. So, the question now is where would you like to spend $1.25?
Jess- In case you haven’t been to Red Robins, if you want a more romantic or elegant, pick something else. The décor in pictures all over the wall and modern rockish music.
$1.25 may cover some coffee at Olive Garden or Bennigan’s (sp?).
Zander is kewl.....where did you find it....?
whats good for the Zoose is good for the Zander?
I love the name.
:0)
Now that the sandbagger is out, I guess I can't be lsat. Unless, of course she forgets where she is and falls asleep on me.
Oh wait, if a thief takes my spaghetti pot, should I give them my stew pot as well?
You may be getting a package from us the way this is going.
VKG- Zander is from Alexander.
You in Utah or what?
m-3- I don’t know about lsat, we’ll see.
How’s it going?
Oh yeah-
Craig means rock.
Zander is protector of man kind
We aren’t decided on a middle name yet
I think Craig Yablonski Peterson has a nice ring to it. Just think of it as a precious reminder always of this blogg and where is my sketti pot. The newest veggie tale song. Actually HR
Lsat!
This is my lsat post, going to eat sweet pumpkin pie and ice cream with my sweet wife.
well, if hotrod's lsat at 12:02, then i'll be frist at 12: something else
8)
good morning sunshines!!!
Good Mornin Peeps
Josh, we are at a rest area somewhere in between......we should make it there in plenty of time.
How bout......Alex Zander Peterson?
Or Zander Ayden Peterson......
Or Joshua Zander Peterson.
Check in later....
