Wow. Actually slept pretty good last night... but I have to find out if
he's big enough to sleep 4 hours now... 'cause he did.
Right next to me....
Honestly, is there anything sweeter than a baby? I don't think so.

Now, the rules about frist and lsat:
* chronological... last post before midnight is lsat
first post after midnight is frist
and then the first post in a new blog is frist

Josh does have a time zone advantage on us, but we get to live in Texas... give the guy some slack

goodmorning jess. how are you this morning? Thanks for the pics. They are perfect. Should be ready by Sunday. I think you are going to love it.

beebow said...

And, jess, there isn't a thing in this whole world that is sweeter than a baby. I was showing his pictures to my sister Jeanne and It was funny how she ooohed and ahhhed and almost cried over him and she doesn't even know him or the miricle he is. I look at my babies and I think about how they are mirrors of heaven. I delight in them. God's wonderful blessings!

We could just annex Washington...

Terri-
he sleeps here too... we could probably fit R2 also... we don't take up much room

Terri or Beebow,

I seemed to have misplaced my daily reading plan. Can you tell me what today's reading is. I know we finished Genesis, so where do we go?

JD,

One of my children brought home a Tyco R/C controller from Garett's B-Day party. I will try to remember to give it to Sharon.

Sharon,

Please ask me for it on Sunday.

I like this blog thing where you can leave messages for multiple people at one time.

I would like to comment on the bubble bath thing.

I have seen and heard of some of the Manliest men I have ever met taking bubble baths secretly.
I will not expose these he-mans of the bubbles, but you would be surprised.

Georgia said...

Also,
I would like to reveal Beebow's secret to being lsat to the morning and day blogger set. Beebow watches late night sitcoms. That is how she stays awake.
You can ask her anything you want about
Three's Company
Everybody Loves Raymond
3 Guys and girl and a pizza place
or
Dharma and Greg.

She is not really napping to prepare.
She is a couch waiter.

Georgia said...

Don hasnt seen her in bed for 6 months.

Georgia said...

Hey, I liked the purple rose. Bring that one back.

Georgia said...

Jess,
Did you forget about the Anon vote?

Georgia said...

Does anyone ever think what I think, that they have ever frozen the blog? Like everyone is at work or wherever and when they read your comments they just go. "Hmmm" and go back to whatever they were doing waiting for something more earth-shaking to comment on.

Georgia said...

Must be the ice cream

beebow said...

Georgia, I am not watching tv. I dont have one, don and i spend our evenings acting out sitcoms like laurel and hardy, i love lucy(ricky), and sometimes we do movies such as journey to the center of the earth (you should see the huge hole in our back yard). Once in a while we do a reality show and its called "How many side jobs can we do in one week besides our normal jobs?" When we do that show we then spend our evenings catching up on our reading, housework, laundry or just catching up on conversation. Thus, before I go to bed I get on blog to read the days puns. There you have it! The Don and Brenda Show.

I sick-a poy-pul now...

but that rose was poy-itty

glad you're home.

i was praying for you this a.m.

Mama PC said...

oh, i know barbara - she used to work with Lindsey at the doc's office...

Mama PC said...

well, you have a great day!!!

i'm glad you took off a bit today......

and that your house sparkles......

to have a clean/organized house is one of a woman's most important needs....... especially with soon-impending birth of a baby...

Mama PC said...

and don't be surprised if you don't bounce back as quickly after c-section..... i'm not trying to disappoint you, just help you with the reality of this surgery.

it's not horrible......just not the same or as quick as after normal birth......

but you will do fine...

Mama PC said...

i pray for people at the oddest times and mostly while i sleep

Mama PC said...

you should felt what i felt at the movie theatre a couple saturdays ago...

i had an immense desire to stand up pre-show and gather everyone together and just touch and bless them...... ALL OF THEM that were awaiting Narnia.......

I LOVE PEOPLE!!! and feel God's love toward them greatly

Mama PC said...

and the downside of c-sections

1)hormones didn't organize the birth like normal, so they can get kinda whopper-jawed.... evidenced by the time I slapped a doctor one day post-partum because he placed a cold stethoscope on my belly and when he asked if I ALWAYS acted that way after birthing..I told him I was just plain irritable and tense and in pain and angry with the roommate who was flaunting the fact that she had paid her bill in full and the hospital was going to give her a "free shrimp dinner" in reward...and who talked on the phone ALL THE TIME and never let me get any rest..... I WAS WEIRD!!!

Mama PC said...

that doc never did come see me again, but sent his assistant... they moved me to a private room.....thankfully, but then, in my strange pain-med delirium, I just knew they were locking me in there!!! They told me they wouldn't bring me my baby for that night..... so all night I was horrified to be thinknig that they were switching my baby with someone elses and wouldn't let me outta that dark room. I don't know where John was. That was a horrible night...... (Looking back now, they wouldn't have locked me in there..... and wouldn't have stolen my baby, Jeremiah.... but I had let one of those situation shows enter my mind (Knots Landing or Dallas in the '70's, where babies got switched or stolen) and the enemy really tried to harm my mind during that time when my hormones were all awack and pain meds were too strong...

just one of my many stories.....

Mama PC said...

prayers during the night...

about 10 years ago i kept thinking of a woman I used to attend church with as a teenager..... we didn't have much contact for years......but a friend and older sister in Christ....

i would think of her almost every night.......and pray.......feeling the strong and urgent need to pray for her......

i tried to call her, left messages, etc..... but no one would return my calls......

so, i kept praying as she came before me...

a year later, she called me and said she had gotten my messages and told me her story...

she had almost died from colon cancer and had been rushed to a special hospital in Dallas from Wichita Falls where we had known one another...... she had been in that Dallas hospital for months.....where her HUSBAND wouldn't even come visit her!!!!! She lives now and is doing well, and I hear from her every couple of years...... but, that one experience taught me that, no matter who "randomly" comes into my heart and mind..... that it's not random at all, but the Holy Spirit giving me the privilege to pray for them, intercede for them...and God will take care of them..... but He wants our involvement.....

WE ARE ALL LINKED TOGETHER IN HIM!!!

WAHOO

Mama PC said...

hormones

they just are...

God made our bodies to operate specially with his hormonal creativity.....

but, sometimes, especially when tired..... or if body is invaded or given too much of non-natural foods or meds or additives, the hormones get a little off balance.....

so we need to be aware and take care of ourselves...and realize that sometimes we just don't feel "right"......as women and mamas.....

and that at times, we just need to give ourselves times to rest and 'down time' so that all things can normalize...... especially those of us who do a lot and go all the time.....

it's okay to just rest...... we need to..... especially during these bonding times......and whenever we feel out of sorts.....

and things will always look better after a nap.......

I know you love your babies......

Have a wonderful days, all you mamas and girlies out there......

Mama PC said...

and the downside of c-sections

#2 when you nurse your baby after a c-section, you may experience incisional pain...

breastfeeding sets off a hormonal pathway that cues the uterus to contract.....called after-pains... this contracting is God given to save your life by keeping the uterus from bleeding....keeping the uterine lining tight...... so, these after-pains are good.....

but, the uterus is connected to the bladder, which is connected to the area where they cut through to get the baby out...so, if you're feeling a lot of pain in the bladder/abdominal incisional area.....be sure to mention it and get relief...... it sure did hurt for me..... BAD......

hey, but now there's hope..... that was 18 years ago before they had non-narcotic IV non-steroidal antiinflammatories.....like Toradol......which I've seen some OB surgeons give their post-c-section patients for the burning incisional pain....... they also give Motrin now (which they didn't long ago...) so you young mama's have it better than I did long ago after my c section.

I'm not trying to scare you AT ALL... just letting you know so that you will be aware and prepared and conscious of the fact that there might be more discomfort and tiredness but that you have it good, because of advances in medicine......

and, of course, YOU HAVE JAWEH on your side!!!!!!!!!

so, I will pray that your water will break the morning you are to go into labor so that your hormones will already be in action and that God will guide the hands and minds of the docs and all the nurses and your family who love you very much as you progress breezily through this wonderful wonderful leading episode of your life with Jenna...

Blessings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi! We're moving on Sat. My parents & 2 more men (my friend's husband & dad) are helping us move everything, so that is great!

Josh & I got a lot done last night.. filled a few boxes, took down pictures on the wall..

I'm feeling good! Just don't stand for long periods of time & when getting up in the morning, the hip I was laying on has some pinched nerves from the baby's weight.. painful to walk for the first 1/2 hour. But other than that, great!

Ya, it'll be special getting the baby's things all together. We'll be registering the 2 wks after the ultrasound.

Mama PC said...

hi, kat woman

kat - don't jump so high!!!

ewwwwwwwww a SPOONFUL of MAYO!!! yuk!

like my daddy and his 9 brothers used to always say.....

Mama PC said...

"MAYONNAISE IS SISSY MUSTARD!!!"

Georgia said...

Hi, Katwoman!
I am so sorry to hear about your hips. I have problems with mine lots.

I love mayo on my french fries! I didnt know the french do that!

I feel guilty eating them like that because there are so many calories and people tend to look at me funny.

Georgia said...

That is beautiful, Terri, I am sorry it was so much trouble. Can I steal it?

Josh said...

“MAYO IS SISSY KETCHUP.”

We have decided to annex Washington.

Mama PC said...

here's a principle i've learned...

if you feel rejection... operate in the opposite spirit - a spirit of acceptance.....and love...and seek out those who might also have rejection issues and LOVE LOVE LOVE on them.....

the enemy is out to harm us.....he is out to cut us off...... but, when those rejection feelings come, remind yourself that it's STUPID-DEVIL trying to distract you....

YOU ARE LOVED AND HUGGED UPON BY THE GREATEST KING AND DADDY EVER!!!! So who needs friends!!!
Who needs a blog response, right?

But they're fun and enjoyed and helpful......

So, know we all love you, Kat......

Georgia said...

It seems like rejection is a big one in the church.

But it is just the devil

John Osteen used to say;
"It is just bald-headed little furry demons"
"You can just step on them"

Mama PC said...

Well, Georogos, now that I know you eat sissy mustard on your fries, i'll have to reconsider our friendship.....

Georgia said...

LOL
If that is a contender you have lost the whole family.
My brother Bob eats a little hotdog on his mayonnaise sandwich.

Georgia said...

When Jess was little one time, Bob came home and Jess threw herself in front of the refrigerator and yelled out " Oh, no! Hide the mayonnaise!"

Shannon2-24 said...

Cool, Georgia.. I saw that you're glad it means we're part of your state again. : ) thanks! This annexing is fine as long as WA stays just as is & just where is.
hee hee

maybe we can connect a speed-of-light subway between the two locations.. and we wouldn't even feel our skin pull back (like some fast roller coasters)

Mama PC said...

so........ now, I wonder can we predict who eats mustard and who eats mayo???

hmmm

by the personality???

Shannon2-24 said...

true, that rejection thing..
doubts of care..

Georgia said...

No, we'd have to move it. Mountains and ocean and all. Maybe we could

Mama PC said...

I'm a mustard lover...... but occasionally dip into mayo so that I might know how the other half live......

Mama PC said...

Gerogk

how did Bob get so tall and you are so short?

Josh said...

Wanted to share some good news we’ve been sitting on for a week.
Boeing is setting me up to work virtual, from home, full-time!! I was supposed to only have to drive to Seattle for two weeks, then have a desk in Everett (north site). Long story short, there is no where for me to sit in Everett for certain reasons. SOO, Boeing is going install a dedicated business phone line at the duplex so employees can call me and I can call them and I’ll remote into the network on my company laptop.

We’re both very excited about it. I’ll get to see Shannon and the baby EVERYDAY when I take breaks and on lunch. It’s a HUGE blessing that they are trusting me with this. I thought I might be able to do this in the future, but didn’t expect it right away! I will be going to work sites for meetings and classes that I’ll be leading, but otherwise I’ll be at my home office everyday!!!

Georgia said...

I think that was God's mercy. When he got taller I quit beating him up.

Shannon2-24 said...

I have both usually.. sometimes just one or the other, depends on my tastebud moods.

One thing that bothers me though, is that mayo, mustard, & ketchup ALL have vinegar, leave my mouth feeling yucky afterwards..

you'll usually find me heading to brush my teeth shortly after a sandwich or burger, when it starts bothering me.

We need to come up with a condiment with NO VINEGAR!! why, oh, why do we put that nasty stuff in.. I mean Jesus didn't like it shoved in His mouth either. ; ) grin

Mama PC said...

well, katlady saunters in......meows about how we won't respond......then out again when we start communicatnig with her.......

I had this long talk with him how we were getting more mature and didnt need to fight each other anymore and he agreed so placidly.

am i right?

He's not that bad.......he's actually a very nice person.......

also birthday party for Brian (don't tell him)

We're having a family dinner here tonight for we 5 C's......so, I have to get to baking and then cleaning and then cooking dinner......it's rare that we're all home at the same time...
