Maybe today we should re-open the dialogue: what should Josh and Shannon name their baby?
It's a boy and the winner gets a steak dinner purchased by Josh.
This is now the Yablonski archives! The new blog site is here

hello future weekend warriors:
i'm at WashingtonJHS today...come on spring break!
anything planned for our youth/RGers?
who's going on a mission trip?
movies....huuummmmmm, ummmmmm, kinda boring.....
slooooowwwww
We actually are pretty decided on a first name, and possibly the middle name.
Challenge:
Jessica didn’t ask me about this, but if you can guess at least the first name, you really will get a gift certificate to a restaurant of you choice. You may guess multiply times.
Good luck
OK, some rules:
1) You can have 7 guesses, so don’t use them all at once.
2) You can guess up till Mid-night.
3) If you’re lucky, I may give some hints to narrow down, but not really help.
is this for just the first name or either or both?
alexander
We’ll stick to the first name.
To bad it isn’t busy here today, $20 at Macaroni Grill, TGI Fridays, or Sweet Tomatoes would be yummy.
I’m here of and on.
It’s not an easy name. Not as unique as our other ones, but still fairly uncommon.
Yeah, seeing how much things cost already, the money is needed for sure.
We got our car seat with base, and stroller last week. I had fun putting it together and seeing how fast I can whip it out and unfold it. Someone said yesterday “Just wait till you have your kid in one hand and the bag in the other and see how fast you can whip it out.” That will be the challenge.
So, what is TD’s new business, if you don’t mind? I’m guessing something with computers.
That sounds exciting! Yes. . . FAITH! Most guys that do that don’t want to be called “Computer Repair Men”. I’m a “Network Administrator” or “Service Technician”, sounds better. That would be great if you could work from home supporting him. Shannon’s mom does the accounting and scheduling for her dad and it works good. I’ve been working from home for 3 weeks now and like it. Though not as laid back as self employment would be, it is nice.
Harvey- Please reference the above rule #3. If your lucky, I will give hints. I’ve gotta see some more guesses before I narrow it down.
Daniel, Daniel, you're so humble and kind to still allow me to take Gaylord from you. Just take it as yours, it's OK, I don't mind.
entrepeneurs unite!

Lil Joshy is the answer.
there's one you posted months ago... but I don't want to cheat
It’s none that we have posted before, so you can’t cheat.
Non-Biblical
May be some one with the name, not sure how historical it is
Somewhat rare, at least not very common
For those who have baby name books, you should not be allowed to reference them.
Beth- you may do over. May the force be with you.
Non biblical, huh?
Well, I guess Jesus is out
hey Josh or Shannon
do this... it's cool

Elias
Zane
Nope.
Won't give the origin. Actually I can't remember it right now.
sheesh.
how bout a first letter?
Jr.?
Hope mama likes air steak
A first letter! I thought you guys were prophetic. What a disappointment.
I won't give the first letter, but I'll say the first letter has not been used by the prior guesses.
That's it, I'm tight lipped now.
Good to see you back mama, you humor is always humorous.
You been hibernating or something?
MAMA!
hows the wampum factory?
does it start with an x?
Hey come burn it over here!
Cade
Clammy- you got 7 guesses, that a stab at it and see where it gets you.
ok, josh, i was trying to be subtle....i think i might have a vague memory of some inside information on the matter; if i do have inside information, i don't want to spoil the game by cheating. so yes, if you would like to consider answering my question a guess, that's fine.
josh, my email address is
lisbeth.rogers@gmail.com
that secret name was the one I was referring to earlier but he said he hadn't posted it... is that correct, J?
Since Clammy hasn't been around long, I posted Zander months ago on the blog. Since it ins't anything I've posted before, Zander isn't it. Clammy doesn't have inside info on this one.
That should clear it up.
i think it's Denny
am i right?
Dinner Time is Denny's Time!
That's right!
see y'all later!

Yeohan Peterson
HINT:
The first letter has now been used: C, D,L, R, X, Y
Who will it be, or will it be at all?
xanthus
I saw that MPC, it'll just be our little secret. You can still have 7 new guesses.
In regard to your HINT:
"The first letter has now been used: C, D,L, R, X, Y" what are you saying? the first letter of your baby's name starts with one of these above listed letters? or the opposite? i'm corn-fused...
huh?
josh, what was that last list of letters you listed? please interpret your hint...
those are initials that the baby's name DOES start with- well, one of them
Yes, starts with one of those letters.
C, D,L, R, X, Y
ahhhhhh, okay.....
hmmm
I think it would be ...
Lane
ya gotta think of a name that would sound manly... but not conflict with the manliness of "Peterson"...... and since "peterson" has 3 syllables, you probably wouldn't want 3 syllables for a first name.... so, I think it will be a mono-syllabic first name...
and that's not a Biblical name...... hmmmm...
what about ...
ew, i hate to waste my votes.....
(very competitive,... lists names on scrap paper)...
Lane Peterson is really cool
I do kind of like "Lane" yet don't plan to ever use it personally for any of my children.. nope, that's not it..
if we have a daughter later..
Candy Lane
hee hee not really
we may need another day to guess
I like this working from home, Shannon just brought me milk and cookies for a “treat”. She called it a treat, but since I’m at work, we’ll just call it a snack.
i knew a guy once named Randy Cane..... i didn't think his parents were thinking very smart...
Also knew a Jay Byrd...
My nephew is Dustyn Rhodes...
Never name your kid Ben Dover. . . that just bad, very very bad.
Or Seymour Butts for that matter. . . just plan bad!
I'm eating a snack.. banana, a few non-hydrogenated oreo-like cookies & milk..mmm..
then back on my tired feet to straighten a little for the baby shower tomorrow.
looking forward to seeing so many of my friends & my mama, mom, & sis all in our living room!! & getting nice gifts!!
it's difficult playing guessing games with other's choices of names of their babies...
You wanta hear a sad story..
my mom cringed when I told her the name I had already named "Lindsey"... she asked me HOW I could've named her THAT!
And also didn't like the name we gave HANNAH...
Isn't that SAD!!!
Jess made an UPSTAIRS.
See ya up there.
She probably doesn't remember that.....and must've been going through a hard time... and my sisters had named their kids "popular names" like Dustyn, Jenny, Joshua, Michael... so, my baby's names just didn't make sense in the early '80's...
Ya, that's sad mpc : (
