Guys day experiment 2

to begin with, I don't think any of us believe that women should only speak when spoken to. Life, and marriage is a partnership and so forth and so on.
However, I know some guys would find it an amusing diversion to "control" the conversation for a few hours a week.
And I find it an amusing diversion as well.
So grin and bear it, my undercover feminist female friends... and grin about it, darnit!

Okay here's the deal...
From now until noon, this blog will be for menfolk. Women are welcome to browse, and to announce their presence. Briefly.

If a manfolk directly speaks to you, you may respond.
CHANGE: No quota today... we'll try it out.
At noon, women are permitted to speak freely again, although they should limit themselves to guy-directed topics.

Good Morning my MEN!

Hot dogs aren't the phrase, it's chili dog. I make mine with a bun, ketchup and musturd on the buns (to the side of the dog), heeping amounts of chili WITH BEANS all on the top and side of the dog, grated cheddar on top of hot chili so is melts, diced onions, sweet relish, then a line ketchup on top (it mixes well with the chili and relish to give a good taste on top). Can you say " get ready to suck and lick the drainage that will be all over your hands!" Yum yummy!

This is a science I believe.

Gettin' ready for work, back in about 45 minutes.

In Melody Greens book about Keith Green, "No Compromise" she tells the story of when they found a tarantula on their TX ranch, with the like 30 people they had living with them that they were ministering to.

They put it in the microwave and watched it squirm.. them POW it exploded! Blood everywhere. . . sounds like fun.

I like to make a variety of hot dogs. One with Chili, one with catsup and relish. However, I am feeling ill thinking about it currently.

Rob, .... I don't care.

jess said...

Josh said...

Man, this totally makes me want to go to pawn shop and get some old $10 microwave and see what I can blow up / destroy with it.

The CD lightning storm sounds cool.

jess said...

I think it's noon

jess said...

okay so we can talk now.... but you guys have to pick the topics
As a refresher ladies:
Hotdogs
Explosions

very interesting peering into your minds today

my brother once put a Black Cat inside my (off-brand) Barbie and exploded her

Beth said...

i don't think i have any good explosion stories

jess said...

I've heard of people doing that on accident... they want to dry their fur (I guess some people put cats in the oven to dry??)

Beth said...

i've heard some pretty awful stuff about things that get put in the microwave, but i don't think i should share.

i do like to put a hot dog in the microwave (minus the plastic wrap) and leave it until it explodes. it gets a little bit tough on the ends, but it's tasty dipped in mayonnaise

how's that for a guy-directed topic?

Nate said...

WHAT!!!!?????!!!!?!?!?! Someone put a puppy in a microwave?!?!?!?! How incredibly sad is that? I love puppies...call me a softie or whatever...but that is way no wueno. Dang...dont' ever do that, or put a cat in the oven either. Just...bad...gah...don't do it..

Beth said...

Beth said...

i don't think i've ever had or seen a spicy hot dog?

where do you get them?

i bet that causes a LOT of heartburn!

i don't think i want the saurkraut though....i have bad memories of saurkraut.... 8)

Beth said...

that's a long way to go for a hotdog.... 8)

you must really like your hot dogs!!!

jk

Josh said...

That puppy story is horrible. . . that’s so sad.

We just got an e-mail last night from Shannon’s friend that has a litter of 7 beagle puppies. She sent pictures of the pups, now at 7 weeks old, so cute. I wish I could wrestle with all 7 at one time.

Beth said...

the corner store past the CTK on airport road.....makes the best corn dogs i've ever had!

i think they're actually turkey dogs...

when we lived out there, i would treat myself every friday to a corndog and a chocolate milk for breakfast----

...i know....breakfast of champions....

8)

Josh said...

Correction, Shannon’s friend didn’t have the litter of seven beagle. Shannon’s friend’s dog at them.

OK, had to clear that up.

Nate said...

Hot dogs are dang nasty...just gah-ross...but I do like corn dogs..especially the homemade sort...m r good...

Beth said...

josh,

whenever you get to wrestle your friend's puppies, i insist on a picture on the blog...

Warmed up some black beans to go with it, and having a strawberry yogurt.

Hey VKG, have any job postings you'd like to put on the blog today?

There, now you're covered either way. (I think it works retroactive)

Beth said...

viking granny
those part time jobs
i'm thinking of someone...
how do i say this...
would any of them come with minimal interaction with the public?

Beth said...

josh, your lunch sounds AWFUL!

Josh said...

WHAT! What's so awful about it!?

If it's the turkey, you can't tell the difference from beef in the meat we get.

Beth said...

vkg
i think you might be extra covered if you say something about a hot dog

Beth said...

yes, it's the turkey

i have nothing against a turkey, mind you, but turkey has it's place, and it isn't in a burger.

anybody hear where i'm coming from??????

i think you may have been brainwashed by the turkey brainwasher people into believing that your turkey tastes like beef---or else you eat really BAD beef....
turkey never tastes like beef.

Josh said...

Ok, so it doesn’t taste just like beef, but it’s still good.

I actually grew up loving beef, but had a traumatic experience involving a bull when I was 15. I haven’t been able to eat beef ever since. I went to therepy and everything, but I just break down when I see red meat.

Beth said...

ok, gotta go back to work
josh sorry about your lunch
eva, please let me know about that job; i have someone in mind

Josh said...

I think I’m going to have a relapse thinking about it. . . gotta get my meds.

Nate said...

amen to that Big Daddy...amen to that...beef is where its at...its whats for dinner..its whats in the yard out in east county...its what we like...turkey is saved to be cooked up at thanksgiving and sliced up and put on a sandwich. Any uses beyond that...well...lets just not go there.

Nate said...

I took Laina to the park today. For anyone who doesn't know, Laina is my Daschund...I love her...she's almost a year old. But anyway, I've never taken her out to just run. Dang, those little wiener dogs are quick! I figured they'd be held up by having stubbly little legs, but no. She's one quick little dog. She loves the park, and hopefully she'll be lovin on some cute girly types...hehe..nah..just kiddn. AAAANyway...just though I'd throw that out there..us talkin bout hot dogs and whatnot...

Josh said...

OK, the truth about me and beef. I loved 100% all American BEEF grown’ up, all the way till I was 23. That’s when I got really ill from my Crohn’s and couldn’t eat beef for 8 months, along with everything else but chicken, tuna, and liquids. I lost 40 pounds. After 8 months of horrible pain, then surgery to fix me up, I longed for a steak. Went for it and couldn’t stomach the taste. I’ve tried over and over in 3.5 years and I can’t do it. I do however have a BEEF burger from Wendy’s or JITB every now and then. But I can’t cook with it a home all the time, it makes me sick at my stomach.

AND, this all happened BEFORE I left Texas.

Anonymous said...

Josh,

Can you eat red meat or is it a no-no on your intestinal diet?

Josh said...

What M3, you didn’t believe my story about the bull experience?

Nope, doc said I can eat anything that doesn’t give me issues. Beef could make it threw the system fine after surgery, but I can’t stomach the taste.

I’m good on eating anything with out assistance but dairy. I have to take Lactaid.

That had lots of typos, had to do it over:

Naytron, sound like fun with your dog. My wife’s family breed Dachshunds for a while when she was growing up. She tells a lot of stories about them. They had 3 or 4 they kept at a time. I’ve seen lot of pics with her and her sister playing with them with they were kids. I love basset hounds. Her family now has two HUGE, bassets. I mean one of them is absolutely HUGE.

Josh said...

OK, I still missed a couple

Josh said...

Thanks BD, that's good to know.

That was also pretty funny

Josh said...

I just sneezed and burped at the exact same time. That hurt!

Ya know Daniel, never know what that boy is thinking. He sure is “one of a kind”, if you know what I mean.

my son plugged the motor of an old microwave into the outlet in our kitchen and blew the circuitry totally non-functional on that side of the house about 5 years ago. you shouldda heard the explosion and seen the sparks!!!

all j-peg had to say was "cool" and "awesome".....

i still have a faulty porch light on that side of the house and 3 outlets that won't work at all.

ok, that's my microwave explosion story, such that it is...

Mama PC said...

once i put a smallish bottle of barbeque sauce in the microwave for what i thought i punched in was 30 seconds...... 3 minutes later, it went "bing" and what i found was a curled up ball of plastic with gummy red sticky sauce glueing the mess to the floor of the microwave... thankfully it didn't catch on fire...

Mama PC said...

i like hot dogs over an open fire - with almost all the surfaces blackened..... blackened hot dogs..... sounds kinda cajun......

(i also like every 3rd roasted marshmallow black...)

what happened to the days when we would cook hotdogs out over a fire???

anyone for a "bon fire" out on my property this next month??? before any more burn bans???

we could have hotdogs and marshmallows and such.....
